UKDuke tutorial Love it... Keep those tips coming my friend...

I say that all the Champs should start their own Tips thread where they can add their stuff to keep it organized for those interested... The reason that I switched from a site located tips page to a GS thread long ago was because here my tips will always remain but who knows about a website or myself ;) A website or a person can be deleted in an instant and here it takes a bit of house cleaning to delete an unusable thread. Plus if we keep it a GS related tip then not only are we wishing to promote without a monetary gain but also ensure that it will always be there to help those countless members who search the YOLA GS forums for an answer.

I highly recommend that we all try to help all those that we can... On a personal note I am so very proud of you Lee and all the other Champs, helpful future Champs and each and every one of the most helpful company Reps... I am simply proud to have been a part of it all... Those helpful members who have been a integral cog in the collective unity that has been created here have truly shown their colors and what kind of an individual they are...

Good job each and every one of you...and "Yes Lee there is a Santa Claus" ;) LOL

And to share an image from my recent yet unshared project I just enlarged an image one minute ago that was a 187KB 433x719 pixel image and turned it into an 8MB 5400x7200 pixel image that I could not upload here due to its size... The enlarged PNG image was not a perfect enlargement as the edges are a little rough but those are easily blurred.

Here it is in the original state: 433x719px


And the image after I re-sized it from 8 MB to under 2MB to fit here. 1227x2106px (don't forget to click the magnifying glass in the next window to see the true enlarged image)


It works on photos to a point but again it all depends on the beginning image if you can enlarge it or not... Once you do it a few times you will find out the limitations.

Nice one Diane... Really sweet looking. I am particularly impressed with the mouse over dripping faucets. You know how I love a good mouse over. Especially a self edited image one ;)

You seem to be fitting the pieces of the website puzzle together quite nicely. Its always a great feeling to see it all come together and be able to say that you built it... I am no doubt sure that this will be one of your featured sites in your site building example arsenal.

As to the background images you are truly welcome but truth be told if you ever need to enlarge a small image:

1) Open your Microsoft Publisher as a poster
2) Paste in it the small image you wish enlarged.
3) Drag the corner of the image until it fills the page (or until it looses quality).
4) Then save the page as a PNG image to be cropped later to remove all the added white space. (if you save it as a 300dpi instead of the 150dpi it will most times increase the quality a great deal) Play around with it to make it suit your needs.

That is what I did with the squared and rectangular 280x280px icon images to turn them into an image of 3000x3000 without much image quality loss. I consider this my Publisher enlargement tip of the day ;)

Knowing my secret and how easy it was I don't know if I deserve a link back (LOL) But thanks anyway...

I have created some pretty awesome enlarged images this way and know that you all will as well. This is particularly excellent for creating high detail banners that pop instead of fizzle.

Now I gotta add that one to my tips list ;)

Using the rounded glass myself I looked into this as well and the line of which you speak is part of the style and is in fact a repeating PNG. This image is left behind when you remove all the pages out of the menu. I agree it looks funky and would love to see it disapear from my Honey Bear website;)
