LOL gimme some time girl... LOL
I am in the middle of creating a flash banner with the same image with some changes when you mouse over the sun.
1) Smiling sun turns into a smiling moon
2) White background turns black
3) Addition of moving clouds, failing rain, some lightning and a Postman's creed text that has to do with having a safe and fun time in any weather.
A seamless flash addition to an imagemap is a daunting task to get right so that will take me another day or two... ;) – Ed-a-Torials @ Honey Bear Playhomes, on October 17, 2009 00:20

I hope your site is a lesson to others, that to create a good looking site, you can't just slap together a few images and some text. Its the attention to detail that sets it apart. Its the spending two days on just one element on a page that makes the difference.
Its always a pleasure visiting your site :-)
Right back at ya Boomer... Love what you've done with the place. ;) A place that I want to visit one day... A bucket list entry for sure... – Ed-a-Torials @ Honey Bear Playhomes, on October 17, 2009 00:15

Just added a new imagemap footer... The gang is now all together and have something to say... ;)
Nothing subliminal about the rabbit's comment. LOL I did not think about it until after I was done.
Imagemaps... Boy what fun (arggg) The image editing, graphic work and coordinate plotting was worth the pain.

Thanks Marie...
I just hope it looks impressive when the economy rebounds and I start having those $1000 dollar days. I pray that the site still ranks in the top 3 in the world when it does turn around as I am the top publisher for the affiliate company I am using for the kit playhouses. ;) That day could not come soon enough I tell you – Ed-a-Torials @ Honey Bear Playhomes, on October 14, 2009 12:04

Thanks for looking... So the menu on the "About me" page works fine then without a problem? I shortened that code by 6 lines and if it works I would rather have it on every page to clear up any future issues. Odd that it would happen as it is the same code that I used for the last year. I only changed the image URLs and the coordinates.
Tre Bizarre... – Ed-a-Torials @ Honey Bear Playhomes, on October 14, 2009 11:04
A comment on the question "The Honey Bear went in for a face-lift..." in Yola:
LOL yeah great point ;) The only reason that page did not have the menu was due to the original site having those apple trees on both sides but as I removed them when I did the update last week I simply did not think to introduce the menu on that page until now. Due to your comment of the back button I added the menu to the "Mr. Honeypot" just now and shuffled the page around... Looks better with it as I was trying for uniformity from page to page and that was the only black sheep. ;) – Ed-a-Torials @ Honey Bear Playhomes, on October 14, 2009 11:00

Hey Boomer can you look at my "about me" page and tell me if the thing you see is there as well? I did a little editing to the code for the menu on that page and wonder if it did anything... http://www.honeybearplayhomes.com/Abo... – Ed-a-Torials @ Honey Bear Playhomes, on October 14, 2009 10:39

The Mr. Honeybear page has on it at the bottom links to all the pages like those on all the pages. I will have to think about a back button but kinda don't feel the need when I have them at the bottom. That might be put on the to-do-list after all the other hundreds of things ;)
Too bad about not having a style to fit yours. It is a challenge at times to see beyond the style and what can be done to make it uniquely yours. Lord knows that I have struggled with that many times. ;) – Ed-a-Torials @ Honey Bear Playhomes, on October 14, 2009 08:47
Ed-a-Torials @ Honey Bear Playhomes asked a question in Yola on October 14, 2009 08:05:
The Honey Bear went in for a face-lift...So, I was looking online the other day and found this wonderful graphic artist selling his work on a pay to buy site and could not resist the $20 purchase of some of his fine art.
The Bear I had was great but I wanted a more cartoon and Disney look so I was especially happy to see the fat and smiling bear in addition to the bee, squirrel, beaver, rabbit, sun and of course the glossy honeycomb. Had to do a huge amount of graphic editing with removing the backgrounds to make them all transparent and creating the new menu and making the background but it was all worth it in the end. I particularly enjoy the addition of all the white space between the honeycombs as the look really brightens the site up and that was my intent. The flash banner was redone as well as the banner itself. All those from one artist just blows my mind...
I think that I can see the finish line in sight and the thought that I had floating in my head at the beginning is about to be realized. So close I can taste it. ;)
Any thoughts?
Happy site building

A comment on the question "No js files will embed. Have tried all sorts of code" in Yola:
LOL Thanks yeah forgot that when I was adding the full URL or so I thought LOL
The initial code had the "resources/small_bee_cursor.gif" and when I posted I added the rest but brain farted the .com
I copied it verbatim from a page with a fully functional cursor chasing bee. Tre bizarre... It should have functioned...
Hmmm interesting... I went to the notepad doc with the prepared code and pasted it into an HTML widget and it worked. Copied code from an HTML widget on a functional page and pasted it into a new HTML widget in a new page and it did not, Could there be an issue with the copy function in the site builder perhaps? – Ed-a-Torials @ Honey Bear Playhomes, on October 13, 2009 07:04
Ed-a-Torials @ Honey Bear Playhomes replied on October 12, 2009 21:01 to the question "No js files will embed. Have tried all sorts of code" in Yola:
Who do you host your JS file with and are they having server problems may be the question you should ask. Only last week I had a problem with my hotlink host causing my site to fail to load in the site builder and published site due to the file being inaccessible because of the server being down at the host. I scrambled to get my files hosted on the YOLA servers with the PRO account and have been happily issue free since.
This code has always and even now works for me...
<script src="resources/YOURFILE.js" type="text/javascript"></script>
On a different note I have been having problems and a difficult time with a simple script that worked perfectly yesterday and beyond but after last night is a pain. The script is a code for the little bee that follows my cursor around. I updated my page, changed the image and edited the code on all but 2 of my pages before the issue arose and on those last two pages nothing that I can do makes the code work. I even used it to no avail on a newly created site.
<script type="text/javascript"> /* Simple Image Trail script- By JavaScriptKit.com Visit http://www.javascriptkit.com for this script and more This notice must stay intact */ var trailimage=["http://honeybearplayhomes/resources/s...", 50, 45] //image path, plus width and height var offsetfrommouse=[10,-20] //image x,y offsets from cursor position in pixels. Enter 0,0 for no offset var displayduration=0 //duration in seconds image should remain visible. 0 for always. if (document.getElementById || document.all) document.write('<div id="trailimageid" style="position:absolute;visibility:visible;left:0px;top:0px;width:1px;height:1px"><img src="'+trailimage[0]+'" border="0" width="'+trailimage[1]+'px" height="'+trailimage[2]+'px"></div>') function gettrailobj(){ if (document.getElementById) return document.getElementById("trailimageid").style else if (document.all) return document.all.trailimagid.style } function truebody(){ return (!window.opera && document.compatMode && document.compatMode!="BackCompat")? document.documentElement : document.body } function hidetrail(){ gettrailobj().visibility="hidden" document.onmousemove="" } function followmouse(e){ var xcoord=offsetfrommouse[0] var ycoord=offsetfrommouse[1] if (typeof e != "undefined"){ xcoord+=e.pageX ycoord+=e.pageY } else if (typeof window.event !="undefined"){ xcoord+=truebody().scrollLeft+event.clientX ycoord+=truebody().scrollTop+event.clientY } var docwidth=document.all? truebody().scrollLeft+truebody().clientWidth : pageXOffset+window.innerWidth-15 var docheight=document.all? Math.max(truebody().scrollHeight, truebody().clientHeight) : Math.max(document.body.offsetHeight, window.innerHeight) if (xcoord+trailimage[1]+3>docwidth || ycoord+trailimage[2]> docheight) gettrailobj().display="none" else gettrailobj().display="" gettrailobj().left=xcoord+"px" gettrailobj().top=ycoord+"px" } document.onmousemove=followmouse if (displayduration>0) setTimeout("hidetrail()", displayduration*1000) </script>
Can someone test it on one of their sites for me? ;) Was there changes to the site builder lately that might affect script placed on pages I wonder?
Happy site building

Ed-a-Torials @ Honey Bear Playhomes replied on October 12, 2009 06:17 to the question "Help!!! Can't delete anything on the bottom half of site" in Yola:
Well I think you are on the right track so you could try moving each of the widgets regardless of what it is to the bottom of the page and then after each move click the in site editor "Refresh" button and when asked whether you want to save click "Yes"
It might take a while to find out where the bit of extra code is locked to a widget but when you move the one which is it will rewrite the code and free up the page.
Funny thing... It is 11PM here and I was asleep for a few hours and then 1 minute after you hit "Post reply" I awoke from a deep sleep. Odd huh ;) LOL

Just an off the wall question but did you by chance have two site editors open in the same browser with both sites you are working on? That can really mess up a website (both sometimes) – Ed-a-Torials @ Honey Bear Playhomes, on October 11, 2009 21:34
Ed-a-Torials @ Honey Bear Playhomes replied on October 11, 2009 21:01 to the question "Help!!! Can't delete anything on the bottom half of site" in Yola:
Hey Mark that sounds like a code interaction. Did you put any code you found on the web on your site perhaps? I have had many of those just as you described. Try one of the following until you get her squared away:
1) Deleting the HTML widget with the bad code (should be near where you loose the ability to edit)
2) Move the HTML widget with the bad code into a two column widget to try to lock it away from interacting with the other objects on your page (Kind of a jail)
3) Place a two column widget between the bad code and the bottom half of your site which you cannot edit
4) Place a two column widget on the bottom of your page, slide the center bar all the way to the left and then place all the content on the bottom half of your page inside the right column thereby protecting it from that bad code.
Those are but a few for you to try my friend...

A junky huh... Sorry you are addicted my friend but it is looking quite professional... Hey what do you think of the few updates of mine? Gonna redo the flash tomorrow on the index. Drivin me nuts being high up in all the searches and no economy to back it up. In a perfect world I have a thousand dollar a day website but now it is a big fat slug. – Ed-a-Torials @ Honey Bear Playhomes, on October 11, 2009 11:58
