hmmm well try the ctrl key and the roller ball on your mouse if you have one...
I think that if you are making a web page your settings should be at normal to ensure that when you preview your changes it looks as others see it but then I could be all messed but and you fine .
Thats I checked with both IE and Firefox so I think I am ok

so the two files I left there temporarily they will be gone soon...
Is the problem with the link showing up on all pages or just one?
I looked and saw on my statistics counter that your resolution is set to the exact same as mine...
Browser: Internet Explorer 7.0
Platform: Windows XP
Screen: 1024x768 32 bpp
I also opened up Internet Explorer 7.0 as well as my Firefox and was not able to replicate it. I have opened it up literally thousands of times the last month and have never seen it like that ever.
I wonder if you can try looking at it again to see if it is just your settings that make it appear so.
Ctrl - or Crtl +
Let me Know please what you see.
Thanks so much

Okay okay so what do you all think for a first web page from a former Marine???Okay, okay so I thought I wouldn't do this like everyone else because sometimes it sounds like self promotion when someone says come and look at my site to get people to buy their wares or sign up... I don't feel that's the proper use of this forum. I do know there are the majority who are wishing to get positive feedback and such a thing is good and beneficial to help better their sites. To use us all as sounding boards and get advice is why we are all here Right??? The Customer service here is the best around and without their help many sites would not be as great as they are. I wish that maybe someday soon I will see others submitting the banners that they make so that we all can see the results.
I have no sign up page and unless you are independently wealthy I don't think you will be bothered by me so don't worry ;))). Please save your kind or unkind responses for here and not my "Contact me" page as that costs cashola ;)
I think I am done tinkering with it for a while and just wondered how things looked to other browsers. I had checked it out with Firefox and IE and they were satisfactory enough for me for now but wondered about the others.

for anyone interested these are links to posts I made with some of the programs and features I used in its creation. I hope somebody will submit something that they made with them soon so that we can all see what they did.

Odd that it does not happen all the time though.
I don't have the need for you tip because I think I'm done for now but I am sure that might help someone else...
Glad you liked it so much Adrienne but I think you are being a little over the top with your comments. It is far from perfect and for my first site it will do fine for now...
I wonder what others think of it though maybe I will do as others have and say "hey look at me!!!" I think that sounds too self promoting and then again maybe i won't.
I would much rather say hey look at this and this is how you can do it. You know to help others rather than just sitting around and not doing anything to help.
Anyway just some thoughts...

yeah popeye the added little info sometimes happens when you cut out of microsoft word and paste into the text widget and as I created the lower red colored box below with using word. It just happens sometimes. Firefox does not recognize this information but Internet Explorer does and it just looks BAD. Thanks for letting me know it was there for I had not checked with my IE lately. (I use Firefox)
The way to get rid of it is to simply click just to before the first letter of the first word just after the unwanted info (You see there are so many items to) and then click delete until that first letter is next to the last letter or punctuation in the text directly above the unwanted info, then click enter as many times as is necessary to achieve the desired look. Someone may run into this problem in the future so I just thought to add it.
Example of extra info:
simply cheap siding exterior walls? Does it have GFCI protected power or none at all? Laminate flooring or plywood? is it on pressure treated runners or none at all? Do you want it to last 1,5,10 or 30 years?
<!--[if !vml]--><!--[endif]-->
You see there are so many items to consider when planning a purchase such as this. When building my play-home I took into consideration not only the enjoyable use by your child but the growth in height as well.

I think you mistakenly put the wrong link... Try again
open your page in a new tap and copy that address to the comments so that we can all see your site... – mredsayshi, on August 28, 2008 01:41

I think this is the one you were thinking about but I don't think it will do what you are talking about to make the screen fill out as you put it. It simply removes the light outline border around some gif files as well as some others. Unless you understand how to change the code around I would be careful. Do copy and paste the original code into wordpad or word then save it then do your changes and save under another name. It is wise to have the backup of the original to revert to if your editing does not work...

I was hoping for something that would allow for adding the link to new tab or window within the middle of the text widget like:
Which means that for (((ONLY $13,500))) plus a $1500 tax deductible donation you can give your little ones a treasure that with proper care could last through to their adulthood. (Donation is required to be paid to the charity no later then December 1st 2008) The charity of your choice will be notified of the gift intent at the time of sale.
within the (((ONLY $13,500))) I had wanted to include a link to in new tab...
When used within a large amount of text within the text widget the actual web address forward link is not shown or present. Weird...
It works fine for images though... weird
Sadly, the only time I have found the one you had shown to work was in a separate text box with only the words for link within. Like:
(((Click here to Buy me now...)))
I just will wait and see and use separate boxes until then.
Thanks...

mredsayshi shared an idea in Yola on August 27, 2008 07:40:
Free Auction or For sale web site...So I know not everyone can us this (I believe only the USA)
It is an auction and for sale site which may look more professional then not having anything at all. I had used it in the past and just today recalled it was available for free.
No fee to register
No fee to place an ad
No fee when you sell
No limits on the amount of ads you can have
Sadly they don't have great customer support like we have available here but thats a little thing in comparison to dealing with other web auction site that take money to start and money when you sell.
Keep in mind that when you have an online auction you should always have a reserve price set so that you don't have to shed a tear at the end and realize you have to sell it for less then you hoped. when you finish posting view your ad and save the link then paste it to your site in a (Buy me now) button.
Pretty easy..

A comment on the discussion "HELP" in Yola:
the HTML widget is in the Content Sidebar on the right of your screen. If it does not show then click the (Show Content Sidebar)...
left click on the globe image that says HTML and drag it into your page then paste your code into the box which appears
If for some reason it appears hugging the left of the screen try and paste it into a WIDGETBOX widget. This tip automatically centers it if its a video, swf, gif or any image – mredsayshi, on August 25, 2008 23:28
