Just wanted to say that Monday night was my first class using the wiki. It went over very well. I'm teaching adults of various ages - most of which had never used a wiki. It was SO nice to be able to say "No handouts guys, it's all online!" "Don't have to take notes, it's all online". "Can't remember something we went over in class? Don't worry about it, it's all online". They've been logging in and referring back to it this week. Not adding anything yet, but that will come next Monday night.

PROBLEM: I'd like to add some readings to Kimn's Suggested Readings page (https://kristineedudemo.pbwiki.com/Su...), but the security settings on the page prevent edits or comments.

I don't know if this is the MOST important thing that I want to learn, but I DO want to learn how others are using wikis in their classroom - not just what they are using them for but also HOW they are using them. I think most of us got a good idea of how it can be difficult if not impossible to manage if everybody goes to make changes at one time; so how are (or have) others managed this?

I was having the same problem, then read someone else's comments. Instead of inserting HTML, go to Video>Insert YouTube and try embedding the code. That worked for me. – Shayne, on August 03, 2008 03:09

Sign up for five gmail accounts. Keep the passwords to yourself. With gmail documents students can share and work on the same document. Documents can be presentations (like Powerpoint) and spreadsheets. Documents can be published on the internet. Use the gmail accounts to sign in to BubbleShare. – henryt, on July 30, 2008 14:16
