I understand there are indeed people assisting and trying very hard to fix things. The place I take issue is the assumption that this is a user issue without acceptance, based on the description provided, that it may indicate something deeper.

If you look back, Michael, to your initial response to my issue you requested I log in (connect) my WP and ID logins by logging into ID in my user profile, and you'll see in my response that I was already logged in/connected and that just to check I disconnected/logged out and the reconnected/logged in again just to be sure.

The issue is continuing.

Beau, you're not reading my problem. I've tried this on three computers at home and two computers at my office.

I've used Google Chrome, Apple Safari, Opera, and IE8 and IE7 as well as the latest version of Firefox in Windows which does NOT have the options you've mentioned. It may have those options in Apple or Linux, but Windows versions are first) found under Options, not Preferences, and second) only have History and Location bar settings under privacy.

So no Beau, the issue is NOT NOT NOT with Firefox.

So I don't want to hear anything further about how you hope this Firefox fix will clear up my problem.

Hope is what people had for President Obama, and look where that's got us today. (low blow intended completely).

So the question occurs to me "does Beau even have an idea what may be causing this problem?"

If he doesn't, then I'm sorry to say I'll become quite the Disqus apologist.

I don't use WP Cache.

I was already connected ("logged in") in the ID plugin, but I logged in again, just in case.

Same issue.

Clicking on "Comments" opens an iframe requesting I log into ID to manage comments.

I have to log in to ID to view or moderate comments.

Steps to recreate:
Go to my Admin page, click Comments link, then I get comments page with iframe loading the ID admin panel, however, first it loads the ID login page.

Browser is FF, Chrome, IE, Safari, and Opera.
FF does not disable 3rd party cookies and there is not an option in browser preferences to change this. I checked browser advanced config to confirm this is not browser issue.
Firewalls are disabled on the computer.
I get the same problem on 3 computers at my house and on computers at work as well.

I'm seeing a similar issue. It's not a new installation of ID.

Managing comments on admin side of WP setup I have to log in to ID just about every time.

The message below the login box:
"Tired of having to login every time? You can sync your IntenseDebate and WordPress accounts so that if you login to one you actually login to both! You can sync them by clicking the "Profile" link in the above box."

There is no Profile link in the above box.

My profile has the login to ID already set and it's always OK.

Tried disconnecting my profile and re-logging into ID again. Same issue.

Lunch was good. Pasta with white sauce with parmesan cheese and nutmeg (kinda like an alfredo sauce).

Anyway, down to business.

Deactivated and deleted old plugin. Downloaded dev version and installed.

Looking good.

Test commented, looking great.

Looks like a fix well done.

I'd wonder about that non-IE css hack necessary, that's gonna be out of most casual implementers abilities. I've not played around too much with plugins abilities but it should be able to insert that code into a theme from the plugin.

Keith, check out Beau Leben's last post for the solution we're using for now.

He directed us to downgrade to the 2.3 version of the Intense Debate plugin for the time being, then wait for the next update, which should fix the issue.

And IntenseDebate loads before Shadowbox. Forgive me if this seems like an uninformed question, but shouldn't that mean something has to be stopping javascript before IntenseDebate, rather than the shadowbox break later in the page?

Shadowbox is the only thing breaking as undefined. But we tried it without Shadowbox as well, and the same issue persisted.

I just reinstalled the Shadowbox plugin and set the library to the first one down from none, "YUI".

Same issue.

Excellent. I picked up firebug just a little bit ago for load timing the site and hadn't explored much beyond that function.

Are you simply viewing source or using some other tool to check the javascript debug errors?

I'm using the Web Developer plugin by Chris Pederick for FF, but not working with JS much, I'm unfamiliar with checking for that.
