Hi Kathrin,
Sorry to hear you're having troubles loading the site! Our Javascript guru is looking into the offending script, and hopefully we'll have something more to offer soon. In the mean time, I would recommend clearing your browser cache and hard-refreshing the page to ensure it's not a weird caching issue. I doubt this will accomplish much, but it's a first step and (hopefully) can at least get us started in the right direction.-

Hi Darren,
I cannot reproduce the error(s) you're describing. I tested publishing a song to my profile and the profile of a friend from both publishers and the ShareSong application homepage with no problems. Is it possible you were trying to use ShareSong Tuesday morning from 1am-4am EST? If so, our services were offline for planned maintenance during that time.
I did have an empty search set returned to me once during a search. Clicking search again returned the result set I expected. If these errors continue, please let us know.
ymek replied on September 15, 2009 22:18 to the question "how do you send music to your email??" in Grooveshark:
Nicolette,
The email sharing doesn't send the file to someone's email address. It sends a link back to Grooveshark for a given song (or playlist, etc).
To do this in the Grooveshark 2.0, click the little envelope icon next to any song and a lightbox should pop up with sharing options within.
In Grooveshark 1.0, click the info icon (looks like an 'i' with a circle around it). A panel should slide out. Click "Share Song" on this panel and the share dialogue will pop up with sharing options within.
Thanks for using our software and I hope this helped you find what you were looking for!

Hi Jonathan,
Currently, neither regular nor VIP users are paid for uploading your files. If you are an artist, please contact Jack DeYoung (jack@grooveshark.com), VP of label relations, for more information.

Hi contessakitty,
To remove a song from your library, select "My Library" from the top-left menu. Find the song(s) you want to remove and click the little music note icon on the right (there's a heart, a music note, and an envelope). It's that easy.
We are aware songs are not being added to user libraries when they are uploaded, and are working on it. If for some reason the songs are not showing up in search, then it's another issue entirely (which we also discussed today, in fact).
Hopefully that answers your questions.

ymek replied on August 31, 2009 18:45 to the question "What do you get with the V.I.P Grooveshark option?" in Grooveshark:
Hi Justice,
VIP members currently enjoy our site in all of its full-screen glory with NO ads. Ever. In addition to removal of ads, VIP users receive priority support from our team and have access to new features and updates before the general public. Right now, Grooveshark 2 tops that list. From the site:
Grooveshark 2 is your music like you've never seen it before. Themes. Smart Playlists. Totally redesigned.
Hopefully this answered your question. For more info, see http://vip.grooveshark.com

Hi Jake,
The minimum quality file we accept is 128kbps @ 44100mhz
This could be the reason your file is failing. Check that it's encoded in at least those minimums. If so, send me the file: myke.stubbs@escapemg.com
I'll run some tests and work with the uploader's engineer to get everything sorted. Sorry for any inconvenience this caused.
ymek replied on August 26, 2009 21:25 to the question "Why won't Grooveshark load for me??" in Grooveshark:
My initial suggestions are:
1) clear your browser cache / hard-refresh the page (this can be done by holding shift and clicking the refresh icon in the addressbar).
2) if clearing your cache doesn't solve the problem, would you mind installing firefox, or opera, or safari? If it loads in one of these other browsers, I would assume it to be an IE-only setting.
Let me know what happens and I'll try to help you forward from there.

Hi Sam,
I was using the player most of the day yesterday and am using it from the office right now. Could you give us a bit more information? Which browser are you using? What version of your browser are you using? Which operating system?
If you're using firefox, try disabling your addons. A good litmus test is to try the site in IE and Firefox. If one works and the other does not, then it's a setting on your end somewhere. Hopefully we can help you get back to the music.
