You can google Vidoop news and find that there is nothing on the Internets more recent than last May.
I eventually had to upgrade to Firefox 3.5 to use some other tools, so I had to leave Vidoop behind.
I actually went through my account and edited each entry. When you edit it, you have the opportunity to look at your password. I use EverNote and took screen captures of each entry. I then transferred those values to a more traditional (and much less convenient) password vault.
I then deleted my Vidoop account. I would hate to think that some corporate raider could make an offer on the company and have access to all my passwords. I'm sure I may be exposed in some archive of their database. But I figured the sooner I got out - the sooner my data would roll off.
It's very unfortunate. And there may be a skeleton crew keeping the old tool alive. But I'm looking at Firefox 3.5 and now Chrome, not to mention IE 8. Sometimes breaking up is hard to do.
Make your peace, but keep your eyes peeled for the rebirth or rebranding of Vidoop. Hope springs eternal.

Keep looking for ways to succeed.I just wanted to through out a great thanks to Vidoop for their utility. I use the firefox plug in all the time. I have sooooo many accounts online and I'm not comfortable just using the same password for everything like many people do.
I just want to encourage you guys to find a way to pull the company together and keep on keeping on.
I'm wanting to look into the possibility of using the VidoopCAPCHA for my membership sites.
Have you guys considered a paid for premium account - much like the payment structure of Evernote?? I'd buy your premium service because I use your tool as much or more than other tools I currently pay for...

I like the idea of being able to click from a usability standpoint.
However - I would GLADLY sacrifice that feature if the advertising that comes through it would help keep the company afloat. This is one of my favorite and most use utilities on the web (and I'm on the web a lot!). -

Yeah, I noticed it started working later in the day. Just so you know - I experienced both my passwords not working AND an inability to get my e-mail to confirm a change. Just trying to help you diagnose.
All things are working now. < 24 hours from complaint and resolution. -
