Yeah, I realized that the Wiimote sucks a lot of battery juice even when it is not being used. I guess to keep the connection with the Wii. When the battery dies it resets it self... – Alex, on October 18, 2008 17:30

anyone else having this problem - don't spend the $40 on a new controller until you try this first.
I had this problem and after checking batteries I re-sync'ed the controller with the console and it worked fine.
to resync - press the red button under the front cover where the SD card goes and press the red button next to the batteries and that should work.

just buy another wiimote, if syncing, replacing batteries doesnt work.

WELL I HAVE THE SAME CONTROLER U HAVE AT MY HOME BUT,
I USE MY RECHARGABLE BATTERY AT MY CONTROLER !
& I HAVE A FAN THAT GOES TO MY Wii CONSOLE I PLAYED EVERYDAY AT MY Wii, & HAS ADJUSTABLE SENORE`S AT THE Wii
CONTROLLER, IF U WAY TOO FAR AT UR Wii CONSOLE !! I DONT HAVE ONE OF THIS CHEAP BATTERY AT MY CONTROLER ! LET ME
KNOW IF U STILL HAVE THE PROBLEM AT UR CONTROLER OK !!

My wii controller does not turn on. i got home from school and turned it on and clicked on madden 80 but the wii controller did not do anything.

HAVE U DROP YOUR WII CONTROLLER, IF SO , INSIDE YOUR
CONTROLLER HAS SENSITIVE PARTS 2 IT ?!
