This is the exact same problem I am having. I was so happy to be able to get rid of iTunes but now it looks like I need it back. just to get my album art in order. why can't songbird make this a priority and fix it. – Mystitsu, on March 16, 2009 18:57

I have a similar issue only Songbird scrambles my album art. For example ALL my Dir en grey albums have art for Alicenine and Kra and even Sarah brightman but they HAD album art of their own. Songbird just scrambled them. Actually ALL but 4 albums in my library have album art, and in my library on songbird they are fine, but once they are on my ipod they are scrambled or even missing.

even with that plug in, the mini player still shows in the taskbar. I would have thought this would be an OBVIOUS thing to NOT have. You know the programme is open by the mini player, you can make it a full player from there. Its rather redundant to have a taskbar icon.

I didn't even get an error message. Songbird updated some of my extensions to be compatible with the build, and then tried to run. I got a blank pale pink box and nothing else. even the the taskbar button is blank. I am on Vista. I will try it on my XP computer also.

At this point, I would like any kind of folder organziation just to get rid of iTunes. Lets get our feet in the door before we start making changes. Who knows If you get the organize my music folder option in, an addon will pop up to customize certain things. The more stuff demanded of this feature the longer it will take to be implemented. Lets just get there, and when we are all uninstalling itunes (oh glorious day that will be) then we can worry about modifying how it organizes our sounds. I have a netbook and I use it as an mp3 player on the go, I have my desktops music folder organized but i had to copy my music from my ipod onto my netbook so now i have all these silly folders the way the ipod has them organized. Its a horrid mess, Id like to click on this feature and Voila! Nice a neat in the my music folder.

This is another Problem I am having. So for now I have a shoutcast player and Songbird and it shouldn't be that way. If I am on the Shoutcast mainsite and I double click a stream it SHOULD open in Songbird but i get absolutely nothing. It doesn't even add the stream. That's kind of lame being restricted to only the shoutcast streams that are default added in Songbird.

You know there is a Feather for this! I was wandering around and I found a feather that lets your library keep the current song focused. So if you are like me and don't care weather your library jumps while you happen to be editing data, (i have most of my data the way I want it already) you can just go into the playback feathers section and get it. Because I like to see whats playing in the list without having to look at the top bar. Weird yeah but hey Im not alone.

This is one of two remaining hitches keeping me using itunes. I have already traded my iPod in for a Creative Zen. Now Id like Album shuffle and auto organization of the music library and bye bye itunes.
