As a stay-at-home mom who worked in ad sales for years but secretly wanted to be a writer (and involved with books or editorial) I would love more advice on how to reinvent yourself after having put in considerable time in one career. For instance, I did advertising sales and would love to become a literary agent. How do I translate my skills to a new field? Do I really have to start at a $30K job all over again? What companies are progressive enough to understand how skills can cross industries? And would someone consider putting together an event for others like me? Can't be a bad idea in this market... HELP!
