I will stick with first name and last initial. I love the request access feature - all of my students have their own laptops and wireless access in the classroom - so that will make things much easier for me than typing in their email address to invite them.

Hi Rachel - sorry for the delay in answering. I'm using IE-7. I got a reply to the question - it's something to do with 1-key shortcuts on your end. The engineer who replied said it was something they were working on taking out of the code. So....I think they must be working on it, because now I don't get the pop-up window, I just don't get the letter. LOL Luckily it is not a constant problem (yet), so I will just be patient until you get it fixed.

Can't type "u" or "v" when editing my wiki!

I am having a strange typing problem when I try to edit my wiki - whenever I type a "u" or a "v" I get a popup that says "are you sure you want to navigate away from this page?" Needless to say, it makes it difficult to edit when I can't type words with u's and v's. Has anyone else had this problem?

Hi Kristine - thanks for organizing all of this for us. My syllabus isn't really a syllabus, but it's all I have for now, as we are re-writing curriculum this summer. You want it on our OWN wiki, right? Not the homework page we created on YOUR wiki?
Also - I would like to learn about page permissions - how to have a group working collaboratively, but so that other groups cannot see their work until they are ready for it to be viewed. And - can that page permission be turned on and off as needed?

I'd like to have a wiki where my students can be placed in groups, and other groups cannot see what they are working on until the day the project is due. Then I'd like to make the projects public. Is that possible?

Great - thanks! Just finished the day introducing wikis to my students and having them get started. I guess the best thing I heard was when I told the students to have a nice weekend, a girl who I can never get involved in class said "wow - class is over already?"

I keep seeing references to webinars for PBwiki, but I can't seem to find any other information. Does such a webinar exist? I have figured out the basics, but I'm sure there are many features I'm missing out on.
