add a buy this song buttonAdd a buy this song button next to the song. After I jam the song, i might be tempted to purchase for ipod use, if it is easy enough to do.

Ah, I see the Twitter app is already disabled. FriendFeed is linked up to Facebook as well. I'll turn that off, and Twitter w/in Friendfeed. But if there's something unusual with Twitter happening right now that has relevance to this, please let me know, thanks. – GreenSmith, on May 26, 2008 21:16

And no it's not Twittersync I'm using, but Twitter's own Facebook app. – GreenSmith, on May 26, 2008 21:12

I use Twhirl, and this has gotten particularly bad in the past few days. Has Twitter changed something about the limit? Twhirl is now starting up over the limit, and at each 5 minute interval, saying it's still over the limit, repeatedly. Does the Facebook Twitter extension count towards API accesses? I also use Friendfeed. Might this be causing the issue? Halp!

Yes, they lowered the rate limit to 30 requests per hour instead of the usual 70 requests. I'm hoping it's just a temporary measure while they're stabilizing things. – mdy, on May 26, 2008 14:39

I can use my beloved Twhirl again! For me, the key was the TwitterSync application for Facebook. Researching the Limit Exceeded problem, I read that a) Twitter only counts your API calls when a service uses both your Twitter user name and password, and that b) TwitterSync's developers bend over backwards so that you needn't to enter your password. I checked TwitterSync's settings, and saw that I'd put in both my Twitter user name and password. So I removed the password. Knock wood, but Twhirl's been working fine now for at least a day.

I changed my password at Twitter, and that seemed to fix the problem. I only put the password into Twhirl and Netvibes (which I don't use much). That only lasted a few days--I'm locked out again (and I think I saw a note saying there would be maintenance again, not long before it happened). I'm using Twitter less and less because of this. I hate going to the website to use it.

I'm having this problem now. My computer can be off for hours at a time, which means nothing could be logged in and making connection requests, but when I load Twhirl and Netvibes both immediately say that updates are paused because my connection limit has been exceeded. That's not really possible, but it's been that way for days.
I've removed the Facebook application (which I had hidden anyway). If that doesn't work, I'll change my password. If that doesn't work, I'll be back. :D

Trying to use Twhirl and Snitter...
After many DAYS Twitter is saying the same f***ing error message...
I'm going to move to another system because of the lack of support for this..
