Nath, we know this can be confusing and frustrating. It's something of a complicated problem, but we are aware of the issue and we are working on a solution. In the meantime, for locations that don't show up properly you can checkin to locations using lat-long coordinates, see here:

Why does a successful UK location search then redirect me to a similarly-named US location?I keep searching for, and finding, Quadrant House in Sutton, Surrey, UK. But when I click through to the search result I'm redirected to Sutton in Arkansas, US.
