Michael, yes I got approved. And I found the code... I'm using this on a Joomla website and I found the terminology a bit confusing because this seems to be oriented towards blog users. Instead of "Choose your blog platform" how about "Choose your platform" or "Choose your blog or CMS platform"
Here's the code as of August 2009: <script src='http://toolbar.wibiya.com/toolbarLoader.php?toolbarId=6545' type='text/javascript'></script>

Note: that applications like Twitter are powerful because they use APIs, I would agree that there's got to be a better way then entering your username and password into some random application to get export. But now I'm wondering, do you just want to export for the sake of exporting... or do you have a real need to export?
If so, why do you need to export?
A comment on the question "Export full tweet archive" in Twitter:
Perfect! That is a very good solution! ... and it worked perfectly. Not only that, but changing the username changes the URL, that wasn't explicit. – Nathan, on October 17, 2008 22:30

Importing/Backup Twitter Status'Importing, Backing Up, and Exporting Twitter Status'
First, here's what I've found that is already doing the export, it allows you to export your contacts as a CSV file... http://bradkellett.com/tweetdumpr/ (limited to the first 250 most recent status updates). It's still very limiting.
However there is a problem that is not addressed. How do you import what you've exported? It makes sense you can't doing anything with your exports if you can't import them anywhere.
In addition to importing the status, this function should keep the date/time of the original twitter status, that's part of what makes twitter powerful.
An alternative solution to the problem....
Another solution to this is Twitter creates an tool that functions internally to allow the importing from from one account to another keeping the dates and times legit (and whatever other tracking information) as Twitter doesn't want bad information to be imported. I see this as a awesome tool for anyone changing account usernames, or making a backup of their Twitter status. That's my reason for becoming interested in this topic.
I would highly recommend Twitter working on this or a tool similar to this.

There already is something like this... but you're thinking about it the wrong way. There is a web app called http://www.Ping.fm that will update your Twitter/Facebook/MySpace/etc... once you send a Text message to Ping.fm. It's a good way of keeping everything the same...
I also believe there is a Facebook App that does this too... I really recommend you go the Ping.fm way... it's much more powerful.
Note: I've updated this message like 10 times since I wrote it... so what I initially wrote didn't make any sense in the context of you importing Twitter status to Facebook.-

Check this tool out... I haven't tried it. It does require you to enter in your username and password, but it seems pretty safe. http://bradkellett.com/tweetdumpr/
