I just wanted to bump this as I feel that this is something that would make it a lot easier for users to organize their activity on GS.
In the 'Products & Companies (25)' panel (by the way, it might be a idea to style these heading as tabs) on a users profile/dashboard, it would probably be better to change this heading to just 'Companies (20)' and then when you go into that panel, organize it as a list rather than a grid of icons. For example, you would have,
- Apple
- MacBook Pro
- iPhone
- Mac OS X
- BBC
- iPlayer
- Microsoft
- XBOX 360
- XBOX Live!
- Windows 7

On the subject of the new design, it would also be good to have a section in the right hand column of the overview page, with the user icon's of all (or top 16, sorted by most active to least) employees of that company.
You could then do a AJAX window when the user hovers over a user icon that shows the person's name, position in the company, and a few stats about their activity on GS.
The same could be done for the 'Community Members' section.
Nathan Massey reported a problem in Get Satisfaction on July 19, 2009 18:37:
Problem with finding Channel4.com company page using search.I'm having a problem using the search box ('Find products and companies') on GS. I was searching for the company Channel4.com (http://getsatisfaction.com/channel4) using the search term 'channel 4', but it doesn't show up in the results, which I thought was odd. I then tried searching for the company's exact name on GS ('Channel4.com') and still nothing shows up.
Is this a bug with the search system or something else?

Show the amount of customers a company/organization has on their community homepage.I think it would be cool to display the number of customers each company has, by having a section on the right of the company's page (above where it says 'Message from Company X") along the lines of,
"20,189 people are customers of Company X"
It would kind of be link how you can see how many people are following you on Twitter.
You might also want to include the average user rating for that company underneath the number of customers. You could also include other stats like % of problems solved, questions answered etc.

Northern Rail should provide free WiFi on all it's trains. It would be good if Northern provided free WiFi on all it's services so passengers can use their phones/laptops to access the Internet.
Nathan Massey shared an idea in PC World UK on July 15, 2009 12:09:
PC World should offer free WiFi in all their stores.Free in-store WiFi would let people try out the products on display (laptops, iPod Touch etc) on the web. It would also mean that sales assistants could easily demonstrate products/features that require a Internet connection.
Nathan Massey shared an idea in PC World UK on July 15, 2009 12:06:
PC World should print the barcode of products onto their price tickets.Printing barcodes onto the tickets of all products such as laptops and TV's (where the box isn't on display) means that people could scan the barcode using their phone to get more information/specification of a product, and use price comparison websites to make sure they are getting the best deal.

No 'upload' button when adding company logos. With the recent site update, i've been given semi-admin privileges on some pages. I tried uploading a logo to a page that didn't have one (http://getsatisfaction.com/pc_world_uk), but you only have the button to choose a image, there isn't a button to actually upload it.
I tried picking a image, then clicking 'Save Logos and Badges', but it also didn't upload the image.

Nathan Massey asked a question in O2 on July 07, 2009 10:47:
Are O2 going to launch a Femtocell like Vodafone have done?O2's coverage in my area isn't great as it is (see http://getsatisfaction.com/o2/topics/...), but because I live in a 1950's terrace house, the signal has a lot of trouble getting through the thick stone walls.
Vodafone have recently launched a device called the Home Access Gateway (http://campaigns.vodafone.co.uk/gateway/) which plugs into your home broadband router and produces a 3G signal for your home.
Is O2 going to launch a similar product so I don't have to lean out of a windows every-time a make/receive a call?
Nathan Massey shared an idea in Google on June 25, 2009 15:11:
Google should add a option to see all the businesses in a area when at a certain zoom level. One thing that would be good to add to Google Maps is the option to view all businesses/POI when zoomed in up to (and less than) 200m. This would be great for people who are visiting a area to find what businesses and other POI are around them, and also for people who live in a area to identify incorrect or missing businesses/POI.
Nathan Massey shared an idea in Apple on June 19, 2009 22:45:
Apple should add the Channel 4 show Russell Brand's Ponderland to the UK iTunes StoreThis is one of the funniest shows i've ever watched on Channel 4, and i'd really like to be able to watch it on my iPhone.
Ideally both series, but if I had to choose, series 1 is the better one.
If Apple could let me buy it from iTMS, I would really appreciate it.
Nathan Massey shared an idea in Tom Tom on June 17, 2009 13:52:
TomTom should use the camera on the iPhone to overlay navigation info on a real world view.I'm really looking forward to the new TomTom for iPhone app, but one thing that would be really cool is some kind of augmented reality view, where the app takes in video from the iPhone's camera, and the navigation view is overlaid on top of the video.
This would be much better than a 3D rendering of your environment, which a lot of GPS makers are working on.
Nathan Massey replied on June 13, 2009 00:15 to the problem "APPLE WANTS TO SELL THEIR PRODUCTS SO FAST NOT EVEN TELLING WHAT THEY HAVE INSTORE NEXT!!!" in Apple:
You must have been happy with what the iPhone 3G could do or you wouldn't have bought it.
Has the fact that a new iPhone has been released made the one you have worse in any way? No. It's unlucky that a new one has come out a few months after you bought your 3G, but that's the way it is.
Most of the new features are in the 3.0 software update, which you'll get for free anyway.
