Nathan Massey asked a question in O2 on August 20, 2009 17:14:
Does any part of the O2 3G (HSDPA) network run at 7.2Mbps?As you can read on this page on Apple's website, the new iPhone 3GS supports 3G (HSDPA) speeds of 7.2Mbps.
From what I can gather O2's network runs at 3.6Mbps (in ideal conditions), but have O2 upgraded this to the faster 7.2Mbps speed in any locations, or are there any plans to upgrade the speed in the future if it hasn't been done already?
A comment on the problem "No 3G coverage in the Rothwell/Woodlesford/Oulton (just outside of Leeds) area." in O2:
Wow, that is quite a poor show from O2 here, kinda makes me look a bit ungrateful! – Nathan Massey, on August 20, 2009 16:48

O2's maps have been updated again (23rd July 2009), and guess what? Still no change in coverage in my area. It looks like much of Garforth has got 3G now, but not Rothwell/Woodlesford/Outlon. The clock is ticking O2, my contract finishes in January, and if this isn't sorted by then, i'll be switching to Vodafone faster than you can say 'unlocked iPhone'.
Nathan Massey reported a problem in West Yorkshire Police on August 19, 2009 22:58:
The beatcrime.info website is a good idea, but a awful implementation.Giving the public access to crime data is a brilliant idea, but the whole beatcrime.info website is a nightmare to use. It looks like it was build 10 years ago.
Compare beatcrime.info to sanfrancisco.crimespotting.org and you'll see what i'm saying. Both website do essentially the same thing, but the whole interface of CrimeSpotting makes it a joy to use.
Maybe you should consider ditching the idea of making your own website to display this data, and just open the data itself up via a API and let talented designers like the guys at CrimeSpotting make the website.
A comment on the problem "Diggnation and The Totally Rad Show don't work on the Revision3 application." in boxee:
Thanks, got them both working now.
It might be worth changing the message to something along the lines of 'This content is restricted for under-18s' instead of 'No results found...' in a future version of Boxee, so if someone else has the same problem, they'll probably be able to work out what the problem is. – Nathan Massey, on August 19, 2009 18:59

Nathan Massey replied on August 19, 2009 18:52 to the praise "The TomTom iPhone app is brilliant!" in Tom Tom:
I haven't really thought about the map updates TBH. Best case scenario is that they are just included with the incremental updates to the app, worst case is that they'll release a new version of the app every year with updated maps (a la TomTom UK & Ireland 2010 Edition).
Alternatively they might use the 'in-app purchase' mechanism that's in OS 3.0 to offer map updates from inside the TomTom app itself.
I think they probably will charge for the updates though as the mapping data itself costs TomTom quite a bit to buy in.
Nathan Massey shared an idea in Satisfaction Remote on August 19, 2009 18:48:
The 'Companies' tab by default, should be a list of all the companies you are 'a customer' of on GS.One way that I think the app could be more useful, is for the 'Companies' tab to display the list of all the companies a user is 'a customer' of, rather than 'Bookmarks' and 'Recently Active' companies.
The list would be the list from this page on a users account (http://getsatisfaction.com/people/nat...), but only companies. It might also be worth doing the same kind of thing for the product tab too though (the 'People' tab should probably also sync with your 'Contacts' on GS).
It might also be useful to display the company's logo/icon on the left of the company's name and have alphabetical separators (similar to the 'Friends' tab on the Facebook app).
P.S - David, how about changing your icon on GS from a cupcake to a photo?

On the 'About' tab, the avatar/icon for companies/products do not appear. On the 'About' tab for companies, products or people, the icon/avatar does not load, you just get a blank box where the icon should be.-
