I updated to the new software on my Blackjack II and the video that gets uploaded is missing the last seconds (basically, whatever the delay was).

This is even after I wait for the video to get pushed out to the server (when the delay reaches 0:00).

I know this thread is for the iPhone 3G, but it's a related problem...Thanks!

The buffering thing doesn't seem to work. Qik worked perfect before I updated to the new iPhone 0.3.10. Now it seems to lose connection all the time and the kbps stream goes from great to 0 then great to 0. Before it was a nice steady stream at arounrd 180kbps. If it buffers so much does that mean its not showing LIVE video on the website? Also, when I was using it there was full service and full 3g.

To iZak27. We have addressed the same issue in BlackJack as well in the new release. your video will be pushed online when the connection retrieve as long as u do not exit

We've addressed the cutting off issue with the recent update for Qik which you can find in Cydia.

Qik video now buffers then pushes it online once the stop button is hit.

It seems like half the time you can't get near 10 pages; I've seen days where I couldn't go beyond one page, but usually it seems to be 3-4 pages. Distressing.

same here, when record something at home it works, but when i drive with good 3g it only shows 3 sec...

When I look at the RSS feed underneath the subscribe in itunes link, the files there are provided in flv format, not 3gp. On my user page drsalomon on qik.com, when I click the link for download then click the 3gp, I get a web browser error:
Not Found

The requested URL /3gpp/06f3247a9ba149988d8d0bf7918bbde4..3gp was not found on this server.

Apache/2.2.6 (Fedora) Server at qik.com Port 80

The problem appears to be something with the header of the 3gp file. I can open the file in VLC and play it but I get some errors:

access_file: seeking too far
ffmpeg: more than 5 seconds of late video -> dropping frame (computer too slow ?)

Maybe this will help with the fix.

Noticed that when viewing the "Firsts" text from a Dashboard page, the bold elements are not rendering the < strong > tags.

It appears that .3gp files cannot be downloaded from qik for my iphone created video, just flv. I think itunes needs to RSS .3gp files to be able to view them directly. .flv is not supported in itunes.

As long as this problem is not solved.
I have the next solution:
1 Download the .flv, and convert it to mp4.
Ad it to itunes, and synchonise it.
You have it then in your video's on your iPhone.

After re-install it worked the one time only.

I could see my video on my profile page, but did not seem to save it and now its back to showing random vids.

I also have this SOMEtimes. I think it's a 3G reception thing. THe thing that is most annoying actually is where it says it's still recording, but isn't. Often the transmitting rate drops down, slowly, to zero. Obviously the average is making it do that, and it's actually dropped to 0. It'd be nice if it realized that the rate is 0 for a few seconds and have it stop the recording mode. Annyway, 3G recording does work often, just not reliable all the time.

I'm having this issue too, but I'm using a 1st Gen Iphone and I thought it was bc I had a 1st Gen phone.

The new Qik update from yesterday fixed all my problems! Working great! Thanks!
