A comment on the idea "Make the Layout Gender Neutral" in Scrapblog:
Thanks Jen
I'm talking about the colours of the actual website- the boys HATE that it's all pink! They have no problem with the actual builder- and will generally use it, but it's always a fuss to log in and do their work because it's a "girl website". I haven't found an alternative that's as user-friendly as yours, so I just deal with the fight- but I know other teachers who just don't have the time/heart to deal with the whining. Just tone down the pink! – Navan, on October 23, 2009 01:40

Make the Layout Gender NeutralCould you please make the colours of your layout less "girly"? I use your website with my students and the boys HATE it because it's "a girl website". Please make it more gender neutral!

Navan marked one of ghost's replies in Xmarks as useful. ghost replied to the problem "foxmarks won't install in ff3/vista". Navan and 2 other people think it's one of the best replies.

Calendar View!I was just thinking, it would be awesome if StudentDocket had it's own calendar view- so you could see on a calendar how much time you have to complete an assignment.

I would like to see Tasks be able to be put into a project after the fact...sometimes you think something has one step and realise it needs to be in a project format.
Also, I think you're aware we'd like to be able to order out classes as we like, but I'd also like that when you're hovering over a class and hit "new task" it automatically makes the task for THAT CLASS.
Oh and when you create a new task that it automatically make it due for the time the class starts.

If I update will I lose my entries!?I just did an OS update and lost all my entries...so I had to re-enter them, that's fair. But now I see there's an update! If I update to the new version with the bug fixes will I love all my stuff?

I agree. I'd prefer if you could order your classes according to how you want them ordered.
Also, being able to create a tutorial section for a class...as in Lecture and Tutorial but all for the same class, and be able to input separate teacher and location info, etc.
Being able to create more reminders per task would be awesome.
Also, I LOVE this app- so helpful, but it's not exactly easy on the eyes. It just needs to be better organized...maybe build in some customization options. Again, be able to order your classes. Maybe be able to add more than one prof per class...and a notes section for the prof would be awesome. Being able to change the colours and the layout (for instance I never use the "due this month" button...so I'd put that at the end rather than at the beginning. The ability to turn on and off calendar integration, and perhaps a homescreen you can turn on and off.
Also, an option to either hide completed tasks/projects, and/or to tag them with WHEN they were completed would be awesome.
A great app, and with some improvements and more ability to customize it to your specific needs (as we know with all the hyper over colorware etc...Students, teens, young adults LOVE to be able to customize) and no two students are the same.
