Neil Hinrichsen shared an idea in HootSuite on April 02, 2009 06:26:

    Get TweetDeck to support ow.ly
Lobby TweetDeck to include ow.ly in their dropdown list of URL shorteners.

I do all my posting from within TweetDeck; this would then let me use HootSuite to track my stats

Neil Hinrichsen asked a question in Postbox, Inc. on March 28, 2009 17:06:

    Neil Hinrichsen
    Can I escape if necessary?
My number one question (sure I'm not alone in this):

If I don't like Postbox, or if you guys go out of business, is there an export function so that I can easily move all my mail back to Thunderbird?

(If there is, I think you should feature this prominently - everyone's scared of getting trapped into a possibly dead-end product...)

This feature USED to be in Evernote, in version 2.2.

(If you really want it, and can live with Evernote only working on your desktop, I think you still download version 2.2 from the EN site).

The feature allowed you insert links to other notes and to whole "categories" (the old term for tags) into your notes.

It also allowed you to insert these links into external applications as well - as a custom protocol handler like Eric refers to. So for example I was able to add links to notes into my XMIND mindmaps. I could then just click on the link in my mindmap to bring up the note in Evernote.

I BITTERLY miss this feature. I'd still be using Evernote 2.2 if I could, but unfortunately EN2.2 can no longer handle my database, which is over 800MB with more than 8,400 notes.

Evernote have ASSURED me (I've written to them many times about this!) that the Note Link feature will eventually appear in Evernote 3, but tell me that this is still MONTHS away (sigh...)
