Awesome update! Really nice work, Justin.

This now earns Today an indispensable place on my desktop Mac.

Which now makes me wonder whether you signed up for the iPhone SDK? Seems to me that the simple and compact nature of Today is perfectly suited to the iPhone's limited size display.

Feature request: add/delete and contextual menus
    Feature requests:
    - Ability to edit and delete events from within Today. At present it appears that if my meeting with Joe is cancelled I'll have to go back to iCal to reflect that.
    - Support right-click/contextual menus to add/modify entries.

    Thx,

    Neil

    Inability to add task/event.
So now that I've started playing with Today after buying it yesterday, and I find that it won't let me add new events or tasks. It displays existing iCal events just fine.

Clicking the new event or new task buttons at the bottom of Today's window, or using the corresponding keystroke equivalents, simply gives an alert sound.

Then I quit and relaunch Today and it behaves properly. Odd. Can you suggest any conditions that would produces this behaviour?

Both. In a full iCal window you already know the days of the week from its column headings; Today needs to call them out explicitly.

Otherwise you can get into a scenario where you schedule a business meeting for 10 days from now and not be able to see that the date is actually a Sunday.

TouchéI noticed the other thread right after I started mine. Sorry about that.

But to build on my comment/request: it seems to me that Today's very ethos is to be a minimalist window to one's personal iCal calendar. I suggest that not only should its default behaviour be to show only the current User's own calendar, but that the ability to display other people's calendars is essentially unnecessary to Today's purpose. Use the full iCal for that.

Putting it another way, if it's easier for you to limit Today's display to the User calendar than to provide toggle on/off controls to other calendars, then go with option #1.

    Regards,

    Neil

Need day in addition to date.
Please may we have the day of the week displayed in Today's title bar in addition to the date? We should be able to see at a glance whether some date is, say, Monday rather than Sunday.

    Unwanted extra calendars in Today
I subscribe to the iCal calendars of two other people for informational purposes. Both of them show up in Today. This isn't at all what I want to happen, since Today is essentially a personal calendar/to-do manager. I see no way to get rid of them in Today's, umm, minimal controls.

Without the ability to limit Today's display to my own calendar only it's useless to me. Counter-productive even.
