This is actually something that Sandy can fix. I had the same problem with Twitter SMS messages until I asked Twitter to send me real SMS messages instead of email SMS messages.
Twitter was aware of this problem with Canadian carriers and was easily able to change the type of SMS it was sending to me. Now I no longer have to reply with Read to get the message. I get a proper SMS message.
Can Sandy please, please do the same? I'm getting very tired of replying with 'Read' to every notification.

neilio reported a problem in Connected Flow on June 01, 2008 02:00:
Exporting from Flickr triggers "can't find photo" avalancheI'm having problems exporting to Flickr from iPhoto that I've had sporadically but it's extra bad right now. When I click on the Export button in the FlickrExport window I get a long procession of error alerts that state that iPhoto cannot find photos with the option to cancel or Search for the Photo.
If I cancel one of these error messages another one appears for another image and this continues for dozens (maybe hundreds?) of my images. I've never been able to successfully get rid of these errors to export.
I've tried completely rebuilding my iPhoto library by launching and holding down command+option but this doesn't seem to fix the error.
Any ideas?

@Bryan
What you're suggesting is possible right now itself! I'm doing exactly that, actually (in India). Add Sandy's private calendar feed to Gcal, and set up Gcal to send you SMSes for events in the "Sandy" calendar. If you require further help on how to do so, do tell.
@ neilio
Do note, however, that there could potentially be a gap of up to a few hours between adding an event in Sandy and it showing up in Gcal. So, if you want an SMS reminder for something happening within the next few hours, I wouldn't suggest relying on Gcal's SMS feature. You could instead link Sandy up with Twitter if you're more concerned about receiving reminders than about it showing up in Gcal. Or, if you want the best of both worlds, feed the Sandy calendar into Gcal, disable SMS reminders for the "Sandy" cal, and use Twitter for reminders.
Hope that helps.

If you could please post your twitter username as well as your socialthing username (note which is which please). We seem to have run into a rather elusive bug (has only happened on 6 out of 12000+). What's happened is that it authenticated correctly, it just didn't assign that particular Twitter account to your socialthing user account. Also note that it didn't assign it to the wrong person, either, so your privacy is maintained.
I'll take care of this as soon as I have your usernames.
