Hi Adam,
Sorry about the speed issues. As you can see, we serve it off of Amazon's S3 service, whihc is known to have some fluctuation in its response time. We're currently working on a better solution for hosting these files.
To answer your question: hosting the file yourselves is an option, but it will break once we update our code at all. We prefer you serve it from our servers, so we can be sure bugs are fixed everywhere.

Renato, txibob, can you tell me where you're logging in from? I've been trying mightily to reproduce the problem but have failed so far.
For example, was it from the link at the top of this page, a login form after trying to post a topic, or perhaps the direct login page at:
http://getsatisfaction.com/login
Or (fingers crossed!) perhaps the problem is gone?

Foursquare changed how I eat out.Foursquare has really replaced Yelp as my tool of choice for restaurant advice. I've rarely been steered wrong by the great menu tips people leave. Love it.-

Christian Niles replied on October 08, 2009 21:43 to the problem "WindowsLive ID Log-out Error" in Get Satisfaction:
Hi GillosMtl,
To answer your first question, you're seeing the message whenever you logout of Hotmail because Windows Live is attempting to log you out of *our* site as well.
Unfortunately, we do not currently support Windows Live's logout feature. Hence the scary warning you're seeing. Since you closed your account, you've been logged off of our site and can safely ignore it.
That said, it's still annoying for you to see that message whenever you log out. From what I can gather Windows Live should stop showing you that warning within a week.
Longer-term, we're working to fix this again, but it will take some time.

Christian Niles replied on October 06, 2009 20:41 to the question "How do I change my openid?" in Get Satisfaction:
Hi melvinram,
You can use your new OpenID without removing the previous one. Our new login system lets you associate as many as you want, in fact!
Click the Login link at the top of the page, and enter your OpenID there. After you login, you'll be asked to enter your email. Just make sure you use the same email associated with your account, and it will automagically be added.
Let us know if you encounter any problems with this method.
In the near future we will also update the account settings area to allow users to manage all their OpenID and other login accounts. Once that's done you'll be able to remove your previous OpenID.

Christian Niles replied on August 31, 2009 19:05 to the idea "Suggest my most popular places nearby, rather than most popular overall." in foursquare:
I'm in San Francisco, in South Park, and so I see Epicenter Cafe Hotel Utah, Twitter's office, scribd, and The Palms. I've never checked into any of these places, so I assumed that these places were popular amongst *other* Foursquare players.
I'd hoped to see *my* favorites there, so I don't have to search for my places all the time.
Christian Niles shared an idea in foursquare on August 31, 2009 18:21:
Suggest my most popular places nearby, rather than most popular overall. There are often places that I check into all the time (my office, and restaurants near my office, for example) and it would be super useful if those places were at the top of the nearby places list in the iPhone app.
As it is, I always have to search for these places by name, rather than just clicking them from the list. Other popular venues always push *my* popular venues off the screen/list.
