I am having a very hard time reproducing this problem. I send a PM to a test account, and then I sign in with test account and read the message and the message is immediately unread.

Any tips on how I can cause this to happen so I can fix it.

Yes the problem appears to be only on the thought bubble. I think we have tracked down the issue and hopefully will be able to fix it soon. Will post back here when it is addressed.

Yes this did break a couple days ago due to a bug in an external library pulled in during routine updates. The issue should be resolved.

Ok Good news on this front. This bug has been fixed in the latest version of firefox 3.5 (not the beta but in the nightlies). In other words starting with Beta 5 of firefox this will no longer be an issue. If someone wants to download a nightly and confirm that would be great. Otherwise perhaps when beta 5 comes out. Even better news is that taking advantage of the faster javascript interpreter, quub feels more responsive as well.

Thanks David. I am aware of this issue. Turns out it is actually a legitimate bug in firefox 3.5b4 and the javascript engine. Firefox devs are aware and have fixed it in the absolute latest nightly http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.or... but its not clear if that will make it into ff3.5. the bug has to do with incorrect handling of certain dispatched events.

Yes there are plans for a desktop app and in fact it is being developed actively right now. Should be available in early june along with improved versions of our mobile clients.
