You want to bring it up with the Postbox developers about this. They need to make it so that it also checks update streams from AMO as well.
File a new issue on Get Satisfaction about checking update streams from AMO.
If an extension doesn't have an updateRDF because of the new security stances brought in by Mozilla, it will not update. Because I don't want to bother with Mozilla's workarounds (they are very long and tedious), I just use the update streams provided by AMO.

I had this problem with a sandboxed beta version of Postbox.
The thing is that it never left error messages for me so I could never trace the bug to a root cause. The final release works just fine for me.
However, when I used the beta, I started off by making a Blog/RSS account so I could just test ThunderBrowse. I have a feeling it might be caused by the account wizard when you create an account that's not an email (but then this is really just a shot in the dark).

Link to addonsEasier access to Postbox extensions would be nice. Currently, users have to go to the blog in order to get to the addons page.Maybe if there was a link on the main Postbox website under the standard navigation stuff (Home. Features, About, Blog, Contact, etc etc), it would be more accessible.
Also, I'm happy the startpage has a link to the addons, but I think the mainpage should as well.
This is what I mean by navbar:
netMASA replied on October 01, 2009 20:14 to the problem "fix link clicking after uninstall thunderbower (maybe I muck with the computer too much and messed it up but) use mozbackup to save info except not extensions; uninstall postbox (used Revo uninstaller); delete all folders of postbox in hidden folders under "documents and settings - applications" in windows; reboot; install postbox; use mozbackup to restore your info; your done. Hope this helps someone." in Postbox, Inc.:
gah, that is one long question. Also, sorry about the bump. I just saw this and I figured if people google and get this as a result, it would be better to know a quicker trick.
If you used an earlier build (like as soon as the new click engine was released [3.2.6.2?]) browser blocking was a problem. ThunderBrowse now resets the link blocking pref when it uninstalls.
If resetting Firefox as your default browser does not work for you, do the following:
1. Go to about:config (Tools < Options < Advanced < Config Editor)
2. In the filter type network.protocol-handler.external-default
3. Double click the result so it says true.
4. You win!

Assuming you are not using a beta build of Postbox, watch this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8wEgiT...

The first thing to check is if other extensions install. If they do, then you probably don't have file corruption (in which you would delete certain extension logs to have postbox rebuild them).
It's also a possibility that the wizard was trying to start but encountered an error at somepoint and could not execute. In which case, you should check if you see the ThunderBrowse statusbar item. If you don't, then something changed in Postbox and ThunderBrowse has not been updated yet.
You mention you have a purchased build, in which the problem might be with paid builds. I personally would not know because I develop on a freeware build of postbox. And I probably won't pay for a Postbox subscription because I'm a college student and have to pay for books, food and transportation and can't go throwing my money on software products (that's why MSDNAA exists [however, if you want to donate the money to pay for a purchased build of Postbox [http://thunderbrowse.com/donate.php] feel free. Or bug the developers of Postbox to give a free purchase build to developers]).
Personally, I probably won't be able to debug it until Friday or so (I'll try to get to it earlier but don't hold your breath).
It's also possible that the problem is happening only to you.

No, it freezes (scribbles/fails rendering) your manage blog post page, so you cannot delete the post in question easily (gotta do some html editing). – netMASA, on March 20, 2009 00:10
netMASA asked a question in chi.mp on March 19, 2009 23:59:
How can I choose how many updates I want to show on the site?If you have a custom image that isn't very long, rss feeds and updates will cause the page to extend farther than the background image. The cause could be the fact the the rss feed system doesn't cut off text early enough.
Personally, I think it's best to cut the rss feed text shorter and be able to choose how many updates should be shown on the pages.

More open site designI would really like it if I had more choice in how everything looks. I like the default layout/presentation of chi.mp, however, I feel that I should be able to make custom pages and be able to move items around in navigation.
For example, maybe I don't want to have the mini blog in the sub nav. I can simply move it on up to the main navigation bar (the one with about me and stuff).
I want to be able to change the presentation (this is not about themes, this is about how things look).
Overall: I really want more freedom in my homepage.
Thanks!

Update tiny_mce and blogging platformIt would be really great if you guys could update tiny_mce and the blog so that it works a lot like wordpress. It would be wonderful if the blogging platform you guys made could support things like embeds, styles, and other html code.
Currently, tiny_mce is opening popup windows and that's really annoying. Wordpress uses a newer version of tiny_mce (I believe it's a beta) that makes the windows show up inline.
Support for media content filled posts would be great.-
