Neil Haranhalli asked a question in Ping.fm on March 31, 2009 22:35:
Can ping.fm send an email? My blog is powered by software that I can email and it will update my blog. Is it possible for ping.fm to send an email to a specified email address? This way I can update everything in one swoop.-

Neil Haranhalli shared an idea in Readernaut on March 15, 2009 23:04:
Twitter-esque Status MessageI find myself wanting to provide an update or status statement about what I'm up to in terms of the books I'm reading. Why I haven't updated my reading progress in while (i.e. why I haven't read). Why I added a 5th book to "currently reading" when I'm only on page 30 of my pervious one, etc...
I think there should be some Twitter-esque, Facebook-like, status message that would be displayed on one's profile page.-

A comment on the problem "Password emailed in the clear?!? A bad sign..." in Getsignoff:
Thanks for the advise, Paul. While I certainly agree with it (and do follow it to a certain extent), I don't really think that it's practical for the masses. A different password for every service is certainly not practical.
I was speaking for my clients than myself. – Neil Haranhalli, on February 16, 2009 20:05-

A comment on the problem "Password emailed in the clear?!? A bad sign..." in Getsignoff:
I have to second what Bob says. If all passwords were unique to GetSignOff, I wouldn't have a problem with this approach.
However, as Bob points out, I use the same password for GSO as I do for my email, my security is heavily compromised. – Neil Haranhalli, on February 15, 2009 23:58

I'd agree with Trevor. That seems like a perfect usage for a lift. The feature that I'd like implemented is if we can add books to lists that aren't in our library. If I want to create a list of books related to office supplies, I shouldn't have to put all those books in my wishlist. I should be able to put them directly into a list.
