Hi littlegirl. Your best bet is to send an email to support AT twitter DOT com.
In that email (not here since this is a public forum), please describe the restore problem that you're having and include your username and the email address you used to sign-up.
Within minutes of sending that email, you should receive an automatically generated email to confirm that your support request has been received. There will be a ticket number in that email and a link to the ticket itself so you can view it and add info to it.

this is right- we have a language setting bug that causes this to happen. you may also see the word NULL in your sidebar instead of your usual stats. – crystal, on August 11, 2008 23:01

For those of you getting the "Something is technically wrong" error page after logging in with your temporary password, I figured out how to get past it. Once you log in, delete ONLY the "lang" cookie (if you delete the session cookie, you'll be logged out again). Then go to http://twitter.com/account/settings, make sure the correct language is selected, and click Save. This appears to fix whatever was wrong with the "lang" cookie. You should be good to go now.

I am having the same problem- deleted my account almost 2 weeks ago, tried to restore it a few days ago and it says it is still in the process of being deleted.

But I `dont have any other Twitter account, and I write email to support@twitter.com with subject "Duplicate Account". My request has been received. More then 24H. been passed without some results.

I've got the same problem as the five or six people above me.
I deleted my account by mistake. Now I can't restore.
It just keeps saying "Your account is being removed. It may still be viewable on twitter.com for up to 24 hours. You will be able to restore your account for up to six months."
When I click restore, it responds: "Your account is still in the process of being deleted. When it is done, (within 24 hours) you can come back here to restore it."
It has done this for almost a week now.

hello
i'm having the same problem.
whenever I click on the link in the Restore email, I am taken to http://www.twitter.com/home. Upon logging in, I get taken to the "Your account is being deleted" page with the option to "Reconsider" by submitting my username or email. It's an infinite loop.
Please help. i would really want my account back.
