Yea I realise this.
I said "if I don't restart songbird once it's installed I'll leave it and forget to restart it later."
The added option would mean I don't have to worry about restarting it myself, once it's installed it will wait till my song finishes, then restart by itself. Without me having to remember or cut my song off halfway through.
I realise that restarting isn't a do-or-die after an install, however still think this would be a good feature in a future release.

Restart after updates when current track finishes playingI think it would be a great feature if Songbird, after updating or installing add-ons, waited until the end of the currently playing track before restarting (and then resume where it left off.)
Updates are often found, for me at least, in the middle of me listening to something and if I don't restart songbird once it's installed I'll leave it and forget to restart it later.
For me at least, I think this would be pretty helpful. Anyone else?

You should be able to choose your Library Location.
I'm not sure if I totally understand the next part of what you said Boris, so forgive me if I'm off track.
What I envisaged was something like what happens when you Rip music in Windows Media Player.
With my library I have folders for the artist, and within that folders for the different albums that artist has put out. If most people sort their library like this then the code would do this:
Read Metadata
Open Library Location
If Artist Folder doesn't exist
{
Create Artist Folder
Open Artist Folder
}
Else Open Artist Folder
If Album Folder doesn't exist
{
Create Album Folder
Open Album Folder
}
else Open Album Folder
Download Music Here
If either folder doesn't exist then appropriate folders would be created.
For missing metadata it could put Unknown Artist and/or Unkown Album #Date#.

Automatically download to a new folder, with the artist name and albumI think there should be the option, when downloading music, to automatically put the song in a new folder with the artists name, and within that a folder for the album.
If the folder exists then it should use it; if the file exists, ask if you want to replace it.
That is based on how I personally keep my music library sorted, so maybe there should also be an option to set it how you want.
As long as the metadata is accurate when downloading I think this could be a very handy tool.

Nick M reported a problem in Songbird on July 05, 2008 13:19:
Song's wont play from LibraryI have version Songbird/0.6.1 (20080623082011) (2008061211), on Windows Vista.
In songbird I can't get any songs to play. I have double clicked different songs that have played before and all that happens is the sound/speaker icon appears next to them. Rightclick-> Play doesn't work either. I haven't installed any new add-ons recently, but this isn't the first time it has happened. Quite often it would just do nothing for 30sec then play the next song in the library, but even this isn't happening now.
The error console shows these three errors, if it helps:
Error: [Exception... "'Component does not have requested interface' when calling method: [nsIFactory::createInstance]" nsresult: "0x80004002 (NS_NOINTERFACE)" location: "<unknown>" data: no]

Sorry for info overload, but thought it might help!
Thanks,
