Nick replied on August 24, 2008 07:56 to the question "no easy swap uploader" in Wordprezzie:
Hi Ian. Sorry to hear that you're having problems. Can you tell me which version of WordPress you're using? The Easy Swap uploader only appears if you're using version 2.5 or higher. (To check which version it is, just login to the WordPress admin -- the version should be written on the main dashboard page.)
If you're using WordPress 2.4 or below, you can still add a header, of course -- it just means you have to upload them with FTP. We think it's worth upgrading to 2.5, though.
Let me know if that hasn't worked, or if you need help upgrading your copy of WordPress.

Nick asked a question in FreeAgent Central on August 22, 2008 15:21:
Confused by national insuranceI recently started a new company with my partner. I'm also registered as self-employed, and my partner is currently still in part-time employment with another firm. What types of national insurance should we be paying (as individuals and as a company), and who do we contact to set it up?
Thanks for any advice -- this one has us both confused!
Nick set one of Nick's replies as an official response to "Front page posts" in Wordprezzie
Nick replied on August 21, 2008 21:37 to the question "Front page posts" in Wordprezzie:
Hey Marko
Glad you like the theme! Making the front page static would be easy. Here's how to do it:
1) Create a new category called 'frontpage'.
2) Choose the posts you want to see on the front page by editing them and checking the 'frontpage' category.
3) Change the Ice Cream Dream setting to use the 'frontpage' category in the homepage settings (see 2.5 in the theme documentation).
That's it! As long as you don't add anything else to the frontpage category, your website homepage will now act as a static page.
Hope that helps -- let us know if you have any more questions.
Best wishes
Nick

Nick replied on August 17, 2008 16:39 to the question "Any More Great Themes Coming From Wordprezzie?" in Wordprezzie:
Hello.
Thanks for your kind words and question. Yes -- we're aiming to release around one a month for the first few months at least.
We'll be launching a pro theme for freelancers and designers at the end of this month (August). Our third theme is designed for bloggers and online publishers -- it comes out in September -- you might find that more suitable.
The best thing to do is to subscribe to the site. We'll be announcing all future releases there. If you're in a hurry, we'd be happy to customise Ice Cream Dream for you, or design a custom theme.
Best wishes
Nick

Nick replied on June 25, 2008 22:11 to the question "PayPal currency recognition" in FreeAgent Central:
Thanks for letting us all know, Olly. Two quick follow-up questions from this:
1) How do I we tell PayPal to convert USD amounts to GBP automatically?
2) Is there a way of adjusting the last 7 months worth of transactions in FAC to reflect that they were made in USD and not GBP?
Right now FAC is telling me I have a PayPal balance of about £1400, when it should be at 0 due to the currency difference.
Nick replied on June 25, 2008 14:56 to the question "PayPal currency recognition" in FreeAgent Central:
It'd be great to have this functionality -- I take payment in both USD and GBP, but FreeAgent doesn't currently let me reflect this. :(
The exported QIF files show amounts in both dollars and pounds; when imported into FA, they all become pounds. Would it be possible to map the first character of PayPal's QIF "amount" field to the currency in FreeAgent?-

Nick replied on April 29, 2008 11:29 to the question "Best way to handle student loan repayments?" in FreeAgent Central:
Thanks, Ed
We're really impressed with FreeAgent so far, and don't expect it to be some kind of magic solve-all solution (but can see it's heading that way!). Thanks for your advice and links -- we'll check them out.
And if you ever did get round to adding student loan functionality, I'm sure there are plenty of startups and established businesses with graduates who'd appreciate it!
Nick asked a question in FreeAgent Central on April 27, 2008 12:47:
Best way to handle student loan repayments? What's the best way to calculate UK student loan repayments? We couldn't see an option in FreeAgent that handled this. We need to:
a) determine whether our income exceeds the threshold necessary to trigger payments
b) work out what those payments should be (and where to send them!)
Any advice would be warmly welcomed.
