Hmm, I see what you mean. Okay, the bad news is that I can't fix it. The good news is that I'll be moving JapanSoc to a new CMS within the next 8 weeks and the url works there: http://demo.hotarucms.org/internet/fr...
Thanks for joining JapanSoc, I hope this problem doesn't put you off!

Sorry about that, not sure what happened there. Either you didn't click confirm on the last step of submission, or I didn't get the email which alerts me to the first post from a new user (which I then have to approve).
Either way, I found the story in the database and have approved it. I've also updated the timestamp a bit.

I'm afraid you can't. If there were such an option, spammers would submit dozens of posts from JapanToday, etc. then a week later switch them to their spam sites. That's no exaggeration either. Even now, for every 1 legitimate story on JapanSoc, there are about 20 spam submissions. You never see them, though, because I manually remove them before they appear on the site.
If it's of dire importance that the link must be changed, I can do it for you, but since it's quite time consuming, I'd rather just let it go.

Yep, I've seen that a few times, but its cause remains a mystery. I'm in the process of rewriting the entire site (see http://hotarucms.org), but it will probably be early next year before we change platform.
Thanks for the report, Jordan.-

Update: As of June 22nd, 2009, provider identifiers are saved in the database, so I can manually map accounts with RPX if contacted with a username. – Nick Ramsay, on June 22, 2009 01:49-

Hi LB, thanks for letting me know. The way it's supposed to work is you first register, and the moment you confirm you email, JapanSoc maps your account to RPX - the site that deals with the login/registration. Looking in the database, it seems your JapanSoc account registered okay, but failed to map your account to RPX. I don't know why yet, so I'm hoping it was a one off server connection problem or something...
Unfortunately, I can't map your JapanSoc account with RPX manually because it needs your Yahoo (etc.) id, so I've deleted the JapanSoc account leaving you free to try again. Sorry about the hassle. Perhaps try your luck with Google or Twitter this time.
If anyone else reading this has trouble, please let me know which provider you tried to sign up with. If it's a Yahoo issue, I'll just drop Yahoo from the choice of providers - that would be the safest bet.
