Can't preview riffFirefox 3.5.x - trying to preview the contents of this riff:
http://bookriff.com/riffs/113/edit
Nothin' showing up in the preview although I've added 2 PDFs to it.
Can't add an image (getting the "must be smaller than 2MB bug" on getsatisfaction), so Twitpic'ing it again:

Nick Bouton replied on October 24, 2009 03:27 to the question "Draft did not save" in Protagonize:
There's a good chance that it was because you'd been writing longer than the site's session timeout and your draft got trashed in the process.
Unfortunately, that's an issue that I resolved about two weeks ago (keeping sessions alive as long as you have a browser window active on the site), so it's quite possible that that's what caused the loss of the draft.
I'd ask that you try and save a draft in Firefox on your account again and see if it works this time. The problem would have occurred no matter what browser you were using, mind you; it's a server-side issue that should no longer be a problem.
The oops page is just the default error page, 404 or 500 HTTP errors will bring it up. Most often it's just a typo in the URL, other times it could actually be an error. If you see an error message, please forward it my way as per the instructions on the page. I'm only one person developing and operating the site, so getting feedback with error message helps me solve recurring issues that I can't easily reproduce myself.
Cheers,
-nick

As much as it might surprise you, Protagonize is developed entirely in Firefox, and Internet Explorer is tested afterwards. If you're having trouble, go through my instructions above and let me know if you're able to see your drafts.
If you let me know what your user name is, I can check and see whether or not any partial drafts are present for your account.
Thanks,

Nick Bouton replied on October 22, 2009 20:24 to the question "can i cancel my account?" in Protagonize:
Hi Naomi,
If you take a look in the FAQ / Help section, there's instructions on cancelling your account there. We'd prefer it if you don't have multiple accounts open at once.
http://www.protagonize.com/help/faq#d...
You'll need to send an account deletion request to help_at_protagonize_dot_com from the email address you registered with. The other option is to login to your account and Flag your profile page, and send the request that way. Either way, we need to verify that you are indeed the account owner before it can be deleted.
Hope this helps!

Nick Bouton replied on September 21, 2009 18:52 to the question "how can i make it so i am no longer following a forum?" in Protagonize:
Hi Bethh,
Okay, there are several ways you can deal with this:
- First and foremost, you can disable specific email notifications in your profile -- go to the Profile menu -> Configure Notifications and disable email notifications for posts in topics you've created or are following. There are other settings in there if you want to further configure email notificaitons. This information is in the footer of every email Protagonize sends out automatically.
- If there's a specific topic that you've clicked "follow" on that's sending you an unhealthy amount of notification emails, you can simply go to that topic and "unfollow" it using the links provided at the top and bottom of the topic. Then you'll no longer receive notifications -or- emails for that topic.
- If you're following multiple topics, go to the discussion group in question and click the "I'm following" filter on the left; that will show you only the topics you're following. You can then unfollow any topic you want from that listing.
- If you want to completely leave the group in question, you can simply hit the "Leave this group" button on the Overview page for the group. You should no longer receive any notifications or emails from that group afterwards.
Hope that helps, and let me know if you have any further issues.
Cheers,
-nick
