I was just looking through the application gallery and saw Pingvine. It basically does exactly what I was looking for:

use links to Flickr if integrated with Ping.fmThe Flickr integration is great, but why point the 'ping.fm' link to the Ping storage, why not point the link to Flickr instead?-

well, its been a little more than a week, I've been very happy with the password syncing... only problem is that there are some passwords I don't want sync'd.... thankfully today you all released a new version... I guess I'll finally be setting up my 'sync' profiles – nick carrasco, on September 16, 2008 01:42

post from feeds like twitterfeed doesIt would be nice if Ping.FM could do something like TwitterFeed. TwitterFeed checks an RSS feed periodically for updates and posts to Twitter anytime there is a new entry. It would be great if Ping.FM could do something similar and post to all my selection (status vs microblog) of platforms.-

I know this is not the answer you were looking for, but a helpful hint for 'syncing' your search engines and extensions to get you by while we wait for global syncing is to keep a bookmark folder containing the links to the install pages of the extension/search engines. This way anytime you need to setup a new Firefox instance, all you have to install first is the Foxmarks extension and then open up the bookmark folder. – nick carrasco, on September 09, 2008 12:56

wrong type of ping... the topic refers to a social messaging tool known as Ping.FM not the networking tool ping... however thanks for passing along the hint. – nick carrasco, on September 07, 2008 13:39-
