A comment on the problem "Metrocrossing.level3.net holding up my connection to Pownce" in Pownce:
The problem was that I was IP banned. I'm not sure why I was banned, but I emailed help@pownce.com and the support staff helped me get things back into working order. – NickDumas, on October 25, 2008 12:43

Thank you for responding, and I'm sorry if I sounded rude or impatient. I just miss being able to use Pownce, and was frustrated by the lack of anything. My email to the help address is sent, and I hope things can be resolved. – NickDumas, on June 26, 2008 02:11

I don't know what the protocol on bumping my own problem is, but I think that this is severe enough to warrant it.
This bug, this problem, this whatever...makes Pownce COMPLETELY UNUSABLE. I am unable to connect to pownce.com 100% of the time. This is not slow service, this is not on-and-off service. This is NO SERVICE WHATSOEVER.
I want to love Pownce. It's got a lot of perks over Twitter. I finally found a desktop client that works just right for me. But I can't use Pownce, and I haven't even heard a "We're working on it" (as empty as that is) from anybody.
Please. I want Pownce to be usable and pleasant, but this problem is stopping me from using Pownce, dead in my tracks.-

I can only connect to Pownce via a proxy. FoxyProxy helps with the website, but as far as I know, without a system-wide proxy set, I can't run any of the clients through one to allow my connection.
Edit: If anybody is interested, I could also post (or link to) the full tracert, but honestly, I dunno if it'll have any relevance.
NickDumas reported a problem in Pownce on June 01, 2008 00:11:
Metrocrossing.level3.net holding up my connection to PownceI cannot connect to Pownce.com because of an error with a certain server somewhere along the route to the server. The offending server is below.
14 80 ms 78 ms 79 ms Metrocrossing.level3.net [63.209.82.190]
That's part of a tracert I ran on pownce.com. All requests before it have perfectly normal timing, and all requests after it time out until tracert gives up on its own.
