Nick Finck replied on August 23, 2009 20:06 to the question "How do you subscribe to a Search term within CoTweet?" in CoTweet:
I agree with Joshua here, I think there should be a way to add searches to a twitter account.
For example when you click on the << and it opens a column on the right with search "Post an Update", "Search Twitter", "Add a Twitter Account" there should be an area below that list "saved searches".
More so, when you click "search twitter" it should show the search screen in the right column, not take you to the search page.
Below the scrolling search box there should be "save this search" next to the existing "subscribe to search via RSS" option.-

Nick Finck replied on July 15, 2009 16:54 to the question "What social networking software do you use?" in Blue Flavor:
Well, when our client's problems can be solved through some level of social networking we often code the system from scratch. So we use PHP, Ruby on Rails, etc.
Now, if you were to ask what social networking services or sites do we subscribe to, it really depends on the person. For example, I tend to focus my efforts on Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn. For social file sharing and information sharing I use SlideShare, Flickr, and Delicious.
I hope that helps.

Ya, in my case I actually was using high quality full size cause it said it was the fastest to export. Even then it locked up at times and crashed. Nevermind the fact that for a one hour session the videos were close to 2 GB each once I was able to export them. This took me a full day to upload via FTP over a broadband connection. Crazy.
Nick Finck replied on January 24, 2009 22:22 to the problem "Exporting causes app to crash" in Clearleft:
I just did 6 sessions over the course of 3 days. Most of those sessions were about 1 hour long. I had crashes on the majority of the sessions. It was peaking my CPU usage right up to maximum usage, memory usage was peeking off and on, HDD usage was a little high. I have a MacBook Pro so I wasn't expecting this to be an issue. I am happy to send whatever information you need.
I was eventually able to resolve this problem by doing a cold boot after waiting till the CPU cooled, then making sure no other apps were booted on load, killing any additional processes, and letting it sit overnight. Not ideal, but it worked for a temporary solution.-

No, Morae Recorder is only $200 :) – Nick Finck, on July 26, 2008 04:49

Actually, if your on windows it would be easier to just use Morae Recorder. I dont get why everyone feels it needs to support Windows.. theres a bunch of Windows based usability tools out there.. go check em out. The main thing about Silverback is that it's for the Mac.. perhaps the first ever usability tool for the mac.-

Nick Finck asked a question in Clearleft on July 17, 2008 15:38:
Editing VideoWill there be support to edit video in future releases? I mean, is it on the roadmap at all or do you intent to keep it lean and mean and let people use other video editing software? I am all for not having bloatware, but I can see the value in having such features if not a really slimmed down video editor just to remove extra footage if someone forgot to stop recording and went right into Q&A with the user.

Video capture on secondary screen?Would it be possible to accommodate video (screencast) capture on secondary screen? Right now it only supports capturing what is on my laptop screen and not my secondary screen.
Nick Finck replied on July 15, 2008 16:50 to the problem "Movie file size too large" in Clearleft:
I am using OSX 10.5.4 on a Macbook Pro. I did not change the export settings from the default the software had. I just hit the export button and told it a location to save it. It defaults to best/100% as far as can tell. Maybe it should default to medium or high? I dont think it should be any less than 100% as far as size as that makes it hard to see what's going on.
