Nick Francis set one of Nick Francis' replies as an official response to "Pause individual feeds" in Brightwurks
Nick Francis replied on October 28, 2009 06:19 to the question "Pause individual feeds" in Brightwurks:
Hey Jesse!
This is an interesting request we've heard from at least a few folks over the last couple of weeks. It's not on the roadmap for our next release, but we're definitely thinking about adding it in soon after. Luckily it would be pretty darn easy to implement. Keep an eye on our blog and/or twitter feed for any more announcements, and we'll try to post again here if the feature is added. Thanks!

Thanks so much for the question and the kind words about FMI!
We're hard at work on a new release of the service, and this feature is on the list. However, it may start as a "global" feature, where you select the time to receive all of your feed updates. We may end up taking it a step further so that you can customize the time on a per feed basis, but will have to listen to the feedback. Thanks so much!

Nick Francis replied on October 16, 2009 17:47 to the question "Emailing Subscription Forms Would be Awesome!" in Brightwurks:
Hey Cody!
Thanks for the question. I can't really speak to our email subscription forms and how they would work in an HTML email. Email clients have good reasons for mostly not supporting forms over email, but that's another conversation.
I believe the easiest way to have people signup for your feed through an email is using a link. For instance, it would look like this-
http://www.feedmyinbox.com/?feed=http...@domain.com
Click that link and you will see how it pre-fills the fields for you.
You can always pre-fill the feed url and email by using a hyperlink with that format. That would be supported across all email clients without a doubt.
I just tested the feed in question and got an error from our system. We have noticed a few issues with twitter feeds over the last few days. We'll get this fixed up for you and I will post a follow-up here when it's taken care of. Thanks!

Hey John!
Yea that's no problem at all. Take a look at the source code on http://www.mobileawesomeness.com in the sidebar. That is an example of a signup form with multiple feeds available. It's pretty easy stuff.
Basically it goes from this:
<input type="hidden" value="(feed url here)" name="feed"/>
To this:
<select name="feed" id="feed">
<option value="(feed url here)">Feed Name</option>
<option value="(feed url here)">Feed Name</option>
</select>
This creates a dropdown where the user can select a feed they would like to subscribe to. Thanks!

Hey Bruce,
Feed My Inbox allows you to specify the exact feed URL and will work properly. We also accept the website URL for those that don't know the feed URL or how to find it. It works either way.
All of the feeds I tried on the page you pointed me to seem to be broken. I'm betting if you entered the feed URL from another site it would work great ... that site just seems to have broken feeds. Thanks!

Hey Claude!
#1 is on the list for our next release.
As for #2, I would encourage you to sign up for a free account if you have not already. From your account dashboard, your feeds are ordered alphabetically and it should be quite easy to see any duplicates. Hopefully that's a quick fix for now. Thanks!

Hello there! Yes this is a great idea ... such a great one in fact that there are services available that can help. Check out this article on our blog to read about them in detail- http://www.brightwurks.com/blog/usefu....
A quick summary-
ChimpFeedr- This little tool allows you to take a bunch of feeds and combine them into one. (http://chimpfeedr.com/)
FeedRinse- This app helps you filter content from a feed so that you only get notified about the stuff you are interested in. (http://feedrinse.com/)
Yahoo! Pipes- By far the most advanced, Pipes lets you do tons of stuff, including what the 2 apps above do. (http://pipes.yahoo.com/pipes/)
Use these apps to create your own custom feeds, then subscribe to them using FMI and that should help. Thanks!
