After working with Leonid yesterday, I wound up installing a new cooked ROM image of WM6.1. Installed Qik, and voila.. all works fine.

I did try to load a different radio and camera version, and that did not work. There must be an issue with Dutty's cooked ROM in how it uses the camera. Either way, I have a bunch of apps to reinstall, but I'm up n running on Qik!!

Same here. Uninstalled/Reinstalled/Installed new pushed QIK version as well. Soft Reset, Restarted phone.. verified Wifi and 864kbps 3G access, and incessant "initializing camera...".

I do have a Dutty ROM and am running HTC Camera v5.04 (included in ROM). – nicklar, on September 05, 2008 18:26

I have the same issue. The App starts, then goes to "camera Initializing...", and that's all it does.. sits there on the initialization screen
