Hi Stuee,
You might want to investigate Payloom at http://www.payloom.com to see whether this fits your needs - it's a plugin for RapidWeaver.

Nik Fletcher replied on June 03, 2008 13:13 to the question "How to make a download link for a file?" in Realmac Software:
Hi Saeed
Thanks for your question. To add a link to download a file, you need to do the following:
1. Open the 'Page Inspector' for the page you want the link to appear on.
2. Go to the 'Header' tab in the Page Inspector
3. Go to the 'Assets' sub-tab and drag the Word document you want to link to from the location it is in the Finder onto the table view in this Assets area.
You can now close the Page Inspector.
With the file now added as an 'Asset' to your page, highlight the text / image on the page you want to link TO the document, and click the 'Add Link' button. In the sheet that appears at the top of the window, there's another menu - 'URL' is shown currently.
Click that, and navigate to the 'Assets' area of the menu, click the document and that's the document linked to.
Publish your site, and RapidWeaver will upload both the changed page and link, as well as the Word document.
Best
Nik
