Thank you so much for going into more detail. I think I may go with it for my new diaper bag... Going to ask the hubby and see what he thinks as well. After its use as I diaper bag it will be used as an everyday travel or tote bag anyhow so I guess the breaking in would actually be pretty helpful!
Thanks again for your help, you have answered my question.

Hmmm, well never smoked anything and dont plan on it :) , but am really interested if you can give me an idea of another fabric it feels like. And also if it will stand up on its own, or if its so soft it will just flop over.
Having baby #2 and my ballistic cargo tote (small) is just not gonna be big enough. So I am wondering if I should try a new fabric this time around.
Thanks!

What does a hemp bag feel like? What is the feel of the fabric? Also if the hemp cargo tote is empty will it stand up on its own like the ballistic fabric cargo bag does? Thanks!

OK here is my hack! I purchased the small cargo tote as I didnt want ANOTHER massive diaper bag and since I am only 5'3" big diaper bags tend to overwhelm me. The small cargo tote is perfect, just my size. (oh and another thing, the ZIP TOP makes ALL the difference, the fold over top on the messenger type bags were always so hard to open for me holding a squirmy baby, the zipper I just undo to grab n go. Its great!)
I also got the ju ju be snack capsule (http://www.ju-ju-be.com/addons.html) and it fits great with 2 jars of food, a snack container, bib, burp cloth and 2 spoons. I purchased the quick change set (http://www.toysrus.com/product/index....) to throw in, it has a pocket for a change of clothes and a zipper pocket for soiled ones.
I fit a thermal blanket and a diapees and wipees case (http://www.diapeesandwipees.com/) which is AWESOME! I love that thing, just grab and go, I fit 3 diapers, a disposable changing pad (which I use multiple times) and a case of wipes all in there and just grab that for a quick change.
I got a splat mat for the tables (http://www.oreoriginals.com/estore/lo...) and fit in my new wallet also purchased from O.R.E. (http://www.oreoriginals.com/estore/lo...) which is a little bigger then I expected but actually wound up working out better than I imagined.
I can also fit in a small book, sippie cup (or bottle), teething blanket (http://store.babycenter.com/product/c...) a pill case, small pouch (for mommys make up and chapstick, with a coin purse on the back) and a few small toys to keep baby occupied.
I attached a paci pod (http://www.amazon.com/JJ-Cole-Essenti...) which holds 2-3 soothie pacifiers and one clip toy on the outside. Finally , in the very front outer pocket, I keep some folded up baby throw away diaper sacks and a pen.
*WOW* It actually looks really nice and fits just perfect for me. I HOPE this helps out other moms, I am SO happy with my timbuk2 hack on a diaper bag. After 3 kids (2 step daughters I had from 1.5 years and 6 months onward and now a new baby boy) I finally got one I like!!! THANK YOU TIMBUK2!!!! :)

Yeah, I looked at the dimensions of the ORE organizers and didnt think they would fit very well. I decided to go with a "ju ju be" food organizer so I can fit everything (food related) in there. I also got a diaper and wipe holder (diapees and wipees) to throw in, along with a foldable changing pad and table cover for when he eats (ORE brand). Finally I ordered a 'quick change baby clothing kit" from toys r us, just in case!! I am still waiting for the bag to see what all will fit and what will need to be returned! I will post about it when I get everything! Thanks for your input, I am glad I didnt go with the ORE organizers.

Stain on my husbands new timbuk2 bag? Order: 5175261My husband ordered 2 bags from Timbuk2 with the gift card I purchased him. They were both pre-made bags, nothing custom and were in the outlet section. One of the bags (the X-Large Classic Messenger) has a stain located on the middle orange part on the flap. Now, I know it was in the outlet section, but was it supposed to have a stain on it? Its not HORRIBLE but hey, it was an anniversary present and I am kind of disappointed that he ordered something and its already got a blemish. Any input regarding this? THANKS!

Hey Ryan, Maybe this will help out people in the future. I ebayed someone about a bag asking if they could send me a pic of the datadump in relation to a person or laptop. He didnt send me that exactly but sent me this link: http://www.flickr.com/search/?q=Timbu... (specifically this pic: http://www.flickr.com/photos/anderson...) and I found it helpful to figure out the size. Thanks again for the reply, I will look through those. I hope the people you work for know that you are a HUGE help! THX!

Ok, Ive been reading up on waterproof bags from you guys and it looks like the lex pack is the only waterproof backpack. If I understand correctly. If this is true what size would I get to fit all of the above stuff into it for my husband? Would it work out well for the commute, is it comfortable to ride in? What material would be best? Sorry to be a hassle! i just want to make sure I am getting the best thing for him!

Hi there! I have one more question. Is this bag waterproof? We live up north and will need protection from the rain in fall and spring and the snow in winter. Will this bag protect his laptop and clothes? Also should I purchase a sleeve as well for the laptop for extra protection? Is the sleeve waterproof? THANKS!
