Nikolay Abkairov replied on July 06, 2009 21:06 to the question "How do I uninstall Qik on Nokia N97?" in Qik:
it's impossible to uninstall Qik on N97, because it's in ROM (disk Z) - so, actually, it does not take any space on disk C or E. However, if you installed update for Qik - it can be uninstalled (only the update itself).
if Qik icon is hindering the app menu - just move it to some obscure temp folder.
why do you want to uninstall it?
Nikolay Abkairov replied on June 29, 2009 05:58 to the question "QIK and Nokia N97... no fun" in Qik:
actually, Qik should work from both when installed on mass memory and on phone memory, it should not be a problem.
Still, however, at the time of your first post at GetSatisfaction, your phone had 9.74 installed only, at least that's what our servers show...
Did you see any errors when trying to install upgrade - during installation itself?
Nikolay Abkairov replied on June 28, 2009 03:40 to the question "QIK and Nokia N97... no fun" in Qik:
you actually still have 9.74 on your device, for some reason updated 9.77 gets downloaded but not installed on your phone. Try to manually download it from http://d.qik.com - make sure to login there native phone's browser.-

well, this looks very strange. We will try to collect more stats, but I do see other E71 users who don't have this problem - for example, here - http://qik.com/katakombnik
that person has a bit different firmware than your phones (both yours and your brother's have the same firmware - 200.21.118 27-11-2008).
Not sure, but there's a chance that upgrading to the latest firmware may help.

Nikolay Abkairov replied on June 05, 2009 16:17 to the question "Why is LIVE not really LIVE?" in Qik:
when you stream, Qik does send your video live. However, because of limited network, not all of your video frames get sent during live streaming.
Later on, after live streaming, Qik tries to send the remaining portion of the video, to restore it to original quality on the web.
I agree, it's important to be able to cancel this if you don't really need this, and this option is still to be added to WinMobile Qik client in next release.

Roxanne -
the "Maximum number of connections in use" is an error reported to you by Symbian OS - most probably because you have some other applications running on your phone that use network connectivity as well. Try exiting from these apps, or disable their auto-start functionality. Qik only uses 1 connection to stream video.
Regarding delays - please, let us know your Qik user name.

@anakbaba and @theskillster -
our web site by mistake allowed you to download the Java application for Nokia phones instead of the native S60 application.
please, go to d.qik.com on your phone's browser to get the correct S60 native application. It should have .SISX extension, and should be pretty large - 800kb at least.
This should solve the problem.
The Java app was not supposed to run on your phones.
Let me know if you succeed.
