I have tried that and made sure that it sounds the same on different computers and accounts. Please try the song Hurt by Cash and see if you can hear the distortion in the end part of that particular song.

Audio distortion in loud tracks a problem with Spotify?
I recently got an invite to spotify and was really enjoying it until I listened to some songs and heard audio distortion on some songs. As an example it can be heard very clearly near the end in the song "Hurt" by Johnny Cash. Is this a problem with the way Spotify normalizes songs or some other technical feature? Or are the original recordings to blame? (Cash is not the only one being distorted)
