That's strange... When you open a folder with images the explorer will probably try to download them all to make a thumbnail (I know that this isn't nice...). Could this be the problem?

I think that all the uploaded files are kept in cache in the computer that made the upload... This is an old problem, but as far as I know a better cache management/maintenance system isn't high priority at the moment...

It may be a bug, but maintenance is supposed to last longer than the initial upload...

I think this is a great idea.

A lot of people join Wuala to share files in groups, but like you said it's a two step process: invite to wuala and invite to group. It would be nice if the invited person could automatically receive an invitation for the group after the account creation.

Exactly. You can trade space in multiple computers and the earned storage is added to your account.

In your case, you'll only earn storage from the computer at work, but you can upload/download your files in any other computer.

The status bar shows that information when you add a file. If you want you can add a big file just to see that and delete it afterwards :)

Wuala shows what it's being done when you add a file. If you add a big one you can clearly see the different stages: reading file, encrypting, uploading...
With small files the encryption is very fast. Sometimes you don't notice it.

Regarding your question: Wuala only supports one file view. Detailed file view has been suggested (http://getsatisfaction.com/wuala/topi... ) and it's on the (long) to do list. Hopefully it'll get implemented soon...

I just tried on a AMD AthlonXP 3000+ with a 1.5GB file. It slowed the system a little but it didn't make it unusable. After the encryption the upload went smoothly.

The encryption and fragment generation should run in low priority and shouldn't interfere with the system so this was probably a bug...
