we use deliberately vague wording in that part of the page, using the word "soon" even if you're already travelling, so that people who don't want to reveal their current location can still have that part of their profile switched on. we agree that this is potentially confusing and that it should probably change if you've selected "Accurate dates" elsewhere in your profile. we'll file a bug for it in our bug tracker.

We do read the problems submitted through both from our site and from get satisfaction and we try to reply as soon as possible. I'm apologized if you feel we haven't went through your requests.

Regarding adding places, Dopplr includes most places that people want to travel to, Dopplr is also built around trips to cities and towns. Recently we have received requests to add more specific places like lakes and parks etc, so we are doing our best to add the most popular places but we can't promise to add them all.

Thank you for the email and for pointing the search problem out. Rebecca Kinnear is indeed a Dopplr user and you can use this link to her account http://www.dopplr.com/traveller/RebeccaK, she needs to share her trip with you in order for you to see her profile.

The search bug is fixed now, so you can also search for her name and linked to her profile from a search result.

Regarding the nudge option, please visit ,http://www.dopplr.com/account/connect... , to find your connection status. Here you can nudge people, share trips with people who share trips with you etc...

Happy new year, sorry for the late response.
The best way currently to create what you just describe is to use the multi-trip function while adding a trip, simply click on 'Add another stop on this trip' and we will know that your 2nd destination as started from where you last landed. Hope that make sense.
