Well, with Qik I have found both Edge and 3G to work just fine from the iPhone, Qik simply buffers the video if it can't upload it fast enough, so no issues there, although when I first installed there was an issue, but as I recall there was an upgrade to program since then.

I would try to access another site with flash videos just to make sure it's not a flash related problem on firefox ...

Same here, videos on qik.com are not displayed with:
firefox 3.0.1 with Shockwave Flash 9.0 r124

This does work ok on safari 3.1.2.
The error console has some warnings like:
It did not like the part of the CSS which said:
background: white ('../images/dropdowns/standard_dropdown_left') no-repeat left top;
As opposed to the line above:
background: white url('http://assets0.qik.com/images/dropdowns/standard_dropdown_right.gif') no-repeat right top;

I tried streaming a 5 minute video from flixwagon on edge (I thought the low quality meant low enough bitrate to go out on edge, edge is like 128 kilobits, the video is like 100, this makes sense) and it ended up uploading it FOREVER afterward. It was really slow, and I ended up stopping it at 16% uploaded a half hour later.

I like that qik does variable bitrate so it will get crappier if I don't have great upload. You want Qik to have an option to be like flixwagon, where instead of trying to be live, it tries to be high quality (and not live). Right?

After re-install it worked the one time only.

I could see my video on my profile page, but did not seem to save it and now its back to showing random vids.

Yeah - I can't see any videos on qik.com in firefox 3.01, windows xp. I can see and view them when embedded in other sites. I can also see them on qik.com when using IE.

I tried reinstalling the Flash plugin - but that didn't make any difference.

I believe my issue had nothing to do with flash. I think Qik's infrastructure was overtaxed at the time.
