it has now been proven that Amanda Chapel is not a real person. she was banned from facebook after I wrote on a thread regarding this issue and she will not be back on facebook till she can prove her identity through government ID. note http://facebook.com/amandachapel is now gone.
Noah David Simon replied on July 21, 2009 21:36 to the question "facebook connect was working before! now it doesn't" in Disqus:
my blog still has problems http://xrl.us/facebookconnect
my friend Shevonne http://www.dcfemella.com/blog had the same issue. she redid it and it worked. my father's blog which I set up myself last year at http://rogerhendrickssimon.blogspot.com also works (but it uses http://disqus.net as the connect url and no base domain like we were told to at first)
another issue that makes me paranoid is that perhaps the facebook admins are futzing with my application because I was (wrongly) banned for a day from posting on walls this week and this is when the issue happened. I'm not sure what happened there.
another concern of mine is the facebook or disqus admins disabled the application because I had 10 of them for my multiple blogs and experimentation between disqus and intensedebate.
what is curious is I do use commenting at http://simonstudio.com/ark that does not use disqus or intensedebate and these comments that are facebookconnect as well work perfectly. that would rule out the sabotage theory. I right now have the email attention of Gianni and Daniel Ha. they are not aware of any punitive reasons. so I am crossing my fingers. but in all honesty I am friends with people that are fighting Holocaust denial and we get harassed by people all the time... so it is hard to know if this is facebook or just a glitch.

http://dcfemella.com/blog/2009/07/say... seems to not work on poor Shevonne's profile either – Noah David Simon, on July 20, 2009 23:08
Noah David Simon marked one of Giannii's replies in Disqus as useful. Giannii replied to the question "When will disqus support Google Friend Connect?". Noah David Simon and 4 other people think it's one of the best replies.

I did get a note from facebook that my account is being punished today.
http://simonstudiotheatre.blogspot.co... perhaps that might be the issue? – Noah David Simon, on July 20, 2009 19:13

you and you public relations friends should be ashamed with the politics you pushed. you put people in danger and you make those that are trying to defend the troops seem like terrorists. – Noah David Simon, on June 17, 2009 00:05

look how obsessive compulsive you and your friends were about all of this. do we really need you contacting military personnel? with each self righteous comment you make you prove my point – Noah David Simon, on June 17, 2009 00:04

that is bullshit. I was protecting the service members from the opinions of some of the biggest antiwar activists. they have a hard job. they don't need trolls contacting them without adequate security. when people asked me to prove the holes in the security I did exactly that. what did I get for that? I got people like @aMANdaCHAPel @1938media and @purplecar accusing me of being a stalker and some accused me of being a rapist. do we need these kinds of people online contacting our troops? this is why I took the actions I did. – Noah David Simon, on June 17, 2009 00:01

I appreciate twitter doing the right thing and allowing me back. it is important that you understand that twitter's biggest critics are people who believe in a better way. I am for censorship of hate speech and for protecting communities. what @aMANdaCHAPel was trying to pull was a complete double standard.

IgorTheTroll had a heart attack. Literally. Didn't anyone notice he was gone? Eric please understand the harm that @aMANdaCHAPel does. you can't hold social networkers responsible for literal interpretations all the time. Sarcasm is completely lost when you dissect out of context. I never said anything of the kind about "rape" and Igor was extremely frustrated with the abuse. @aMANdaCHAPel holds people she doesn't like to a higher level of responsibility. what @aMANdaCHAPel and her friends did is libelous. Don't worry about letting me back on twitter. The vibe around the interwebs is it is not doing well. facebook is a lot of fun for me these days. It would seem that I am not the only one upset at this network. I got air of a few people like Jason Calacanis and other Alisters complaining about the service this week. It is sad that you treated people like Igor and myself so poorly. We were the early adopters and pioneers and you abused us. We believed in a network with less walls. We were naive to think it would work in the long term. We are watching a whole sphere of "Libertarian" thought crumble. Early on I was playing with the lines between profiles. I admit it. I was trying to garner twitter. I'm so sorry that I was 100% right about twitter's weaknesses. funny old men like Igor did not deserve to be hazed by an angry mob. He himself was an idealist. I didn't always agree with him, but if you had gotten to of known him better you might of realized that he was an economic mind. it was impossible for your network to protect him. He had a right to tell a few dirty jokes without getting hounded. – Noah David Simon, on May 02, 2009 06:09
