Second, the :media argument sure looks like a hash, but where are the curly braces? When hashes are the last argument in a function call, the hashes are optional; these two lines are equivalent:

A comment on the problem "Not apparent how to navigate up to all projects." in Balsamiq:
Sorry, poorly worded. Started new project, then I went to Assets folder. In there it is not obvious how to get back up to parent folder. – Noel, on November 27, 2009 17:26

closing mockup should take you back to project viewclosing mockup should take you back to project view since that is the entry point it should be the exit as well. It may be disorienting to a user to end up in a different place

Navigating the folder hierarchyIt's hard to go back to a parent folder. For example, if I click on a project, the only way to get back to the project view i to click on the site name. Also, if I go into an asset folder, I don't see how to get back to the parent project folder.

Initial upload workflowI have a folder with mockups for multiple pages on my site. Would be nice to be able to upload multiple mockups at once for the initial project setup. Also importing a mockup shouldn't take me to edit mode since I want to upload other mockups.
Finally, the mockup I uploaded had an image as a background (basically a site template). The mockup that was uploaded had the image place holder and text telling me that the image was missing, but does not tell me how to fix this. E.g. What image is missing, and where should I upload this picture to? I tried to upload it to project assets, but that didnt work.

Email update toggle problemIt's hard to tell the state of the Email update toggle. Also, enabled it, I think bec it is green, but can't disable it now.

Registration and Email confirmation seems cumbersomeWhen I was registering, the email address field says "Address(es), that was confusing as there is only space for one address, or if you can enter multiple with comma, hint should note that.
I don't mind the idea of an email confirmation, but when you click on confirmation link, the top of the page was the "oops looks like you have not confirmed..." well duh, that's what I am doing :)
Also, don't think you should have to enter username/psw for confirmation, seems redundant.
finally, Yahoo flagged balsamic confirmation email as spam.

I agree with your analysis. For Confluence, I think the mockups attached to current page would be good. Maybe an alternative to link to all the children of the current page would be to let the user select a specific page to find the mockup(s). So if I am in Space A Page 1, I can link to something in Space B page 4.
When you click on a link, just fetch the mockup as you suggested.-

A comment on the idea "Help me design the Check for Updates Feature" in Balsamiq:
The idea was that if you wanted to not be so current, you could (like if u just upgraded to XP when Vista came out). I guess the original mockup with the separate releases was confusing. You just want to show what's new since current release, that's fine. I would display in chrono order not reverse chrono then and maybe a heading "Changes since installed version" – Noel, on March 03, 2009 19:43

This captures what I was thinking. in Confluence you could just have a new macro to define which file to display, the interactive one or the PNG.
As for the actions, I would like "on click" and "on hover" hover could be useful for menus.
I also agree on the rename of Presentation mode. – Noel, on January 06, 2009 14:03

A comment on the idea "Help me design the Linking Mockups Feature" in Balsamiq:
OK, I was thinking of it differently in my mind. Need to think of the workflow to see how complex this would be. Would this limit you to images on the same page? Probably not, but then if there are 100s of mockups throughout the wiki, how does one easily link the relevant ones.
In my mind I saw a "project" mockup which contained the relevant screens and from which I could create the relationships. – Noel, on December 29, 2008 17:49
