something is not right with this at all. I can listen to last.fm radio using rthymbox a linux music player with no problem but songbird is briging up a subscription page when trying to listen to last.fm radio. What gives. Why is rthymbox able to play last.fm radio without subscribing but songbird cannot?

How did you obtain songbird for Ubuntu? Did you download the .tgz file from the songbird website or did you get the .deb package file from ubuntu from http://www.getdeb.net/ On getdeb, you can find the .deb package for songbird for ubuntu jaunty 32bit and 64 bit editions. It works on Ubuntu 9.10 which is what I am using now with no problems.

Hi thank you for the reply. Rthymbox is third party software and is not affiliated with last.fm. The last.fm radio is being played in rthymbox through a plugin much like songbird has a plugin for last.fm. I very much would like to get to the bottom of this. Rthymbox is not the offical client for last.fm but it is able to play radio from last.fm in linux but songbird cannot play it? Very interesting.-

Thank you very much for replying. I am in the United States and When I try to listen to last.fm radio on songbird, I am told that I need to subscribe to listen to the radio. When I click subscribe, I am taken to a page that asks for payment information? Why is this page comming up? I can listen to last.fm on the web site fine. Thanks.

Norberto Feliberty asked a question in Songbird on November 03, 2009 02:23:
Do I have to pay to listen to last.fm radio through songbird now?How to listen to last.fm radio in songbird? I used to be able to listen to last.fm radio through songbird but now I can't listen to the radio. It says that I must subscribe to be able to listen to the radio. When I click subscribe, I am taken to a page that prompts me for billing information saying that I have to pay to listen to the radio. The thing is that it used ot work and I can listen to last.fm radio on the website for free. So what gives? Thanks.
