1Passwd is the old name we used before version 2.5. 1Passwd.keychain is the old data file and you can safely move it to trash.
Please re-install the firefox extension as described here:

I backed up my keychain, then used keychain access to remove TWO keychains: 1password and 1passwd (what's that?). I then downloaded the very latest beta and re-imported the passwords. The iPod sync then worked without any problems.
But my firefox plugin was then corrupted (getting JS/XPI errors) ...I finally figured out how to re-install it (not obvious.)
Now everything works great. Thanks!

If I have all the facts right then the permissions issue should only happen when you update 1Password. If your current version works then please do not use the future BETA versions until we have the solution completed.
It should take us a 2-3 weeks to get all these issues sorted out. If you subscribe to the newsletter then we will let you know when it is ready. – Roustem Karimov, on August 22, 2008 17:02

Okay, the forum is helpful. But unfortunately I think this iPhone version of 1Password has messed up my desktop version as well. I'm tempted to drop both applications for awhile and wait for you guys to get things sorted out. I probably have too many passwords anyway, time for some house cleaning.
It would be nice if Apple had better beta support for you guys. Then these problems could have been better identified before your long-anticipated app hit the store!

Thank you for the feedback. We had several reports about this problem, including the previous post on getsatisfaction.com:

The latest 1Password BETA should provide certain improvements (unfortunately, it won't fix this issue completely):

We also have another workaround solution posted in our forums:
http://support.agilewebsolutions.com/...
We are working on another solution that should resolve this issue completely and hope to get the first working version before the end of this month.-

1Password iPhone prompts for every password on 1st syncWhen attempting to sync 1Password iPhone with the desktop application for the first time, I'm being prompted to allow access to each password. I have over 500 passwords! Is there something I can do just allow the sync process access to all my passwords once and be done with it? The iPhone application is useless to me at this point.

Unfortunately still no ETA on this. We're a small company so we try to make it through the high priority items as best we can. I will be sure to update here when we have any news on this feature. :) – Lesley, on July 25, 2008 16:52-
