Cash flow forecast toolOne of the features I miss most in Mint (compared to Quicken) is the ability to see a basic cashflow forecast. It's kind of fun to see my spending trends versus my income trends over time, especially when I can add specific upcoming income and spending events.
Not exactly a trivial feature request, I know, but something that would be much appreciated by many, I'm sure.-

Nick Zadrozny replied on January 19, 2009 01:18 to the idea "Why did you choose not to password protect the app?" in Mint.com:
First of all, great job on the iPhone app! It earned a spot on my first screen after less than a minute of using it.
With respect to password protecting the app, while I agree with Justin entirely, I also had a similar question about password-protecting the app itself. For now I'm fine with locking my phone (it's something I've done for a while), but I think a simple unlock screen would be well-appreciated.
A pin-based approach (a la the iPhone unlock) would be a great place to start.

OpenID authenticationI am very security-conscious. Toward that extent, I really appreciate sites that let me authenticate using OpenID. OpenID may still be a bit of an "early adopter" technology, but I think it's a big win for users for a few reasons:
1. It's one less password that I have to manage for yet another website.
2. I don't have to worry about passwords auto-saved in my browser.
3. I can use a very strong password for my OpenID account.
4. I can change my OpenID password more frequently than changing passwords for a lot of individual services.
I'm sure you all have likely talked this over internally. Just throwing in my $0.02.

Nick Zadrozny asked a question in Wesabe on December 11, 2008 21:56:
Where did automatic uploading go?I've been using the server side upload feature for my Wells Fargo accounts for a while. It's been a while since I logged in, but when I went to update my accounts today, Wesabe asked for an upload rather than doing a server side update on its own. Has something changed with Wells Fargo accounts or the Automatic Uploader since I last logged in?
Let me know if there anything I can do to give you more details. My username on Wesabe is 'nzadrozny'.

Nick Zadrozny marked one of Joe's replies in RescueTime as useful. Joe replied to the problem ""1610: Error: -1700. Can’t make 0 into type boolean."".

Nick Zadrozny reported a problem in RescueTime on October 28, 2008 22:03:
"1610: Error: -1700. Can’t make 0 into type boolean."I went poking around when I noticed RescueTime using over 200MB of memory and decided to see if it was doing anything strange. It's dumped this message into my logs a few thousand times today. An example excerpt:
10/28/08 14:56:23 RescueTime[60206] "1610: Error: -1700. Can’t make 0 into type boolean."
My system was recently copied over from backups, so I'm wondering if that is contributing to the issue. Maybe there are some config files somewhere that I need to purge? I did also install the latest version of RescueTime before posting here.
A comment on the problem "zip code isn't working" in ROOV:
Shameful! We wrote the code to fix the problem and forgot to deploy it. But you'll be happy to know that we followed your admonition and took the weekend off. Anyway, give it another try, and email me directly at nick@roov.com if it doesn't work out this time :-) – Nick Zadrozny, on October 27, 2008 16:56

Nick Zadrozny replied on October 22, 2008 21:06 to the problem "AHHH, why cant i add friends?" in ROOV:
Hi Joe,
When one of your Facebook friends signs up for ROOV, they will automatically be made your friend on ROOV. Using the invite screen that you saw (behind the yellow sticky note) will help get the word out to your friends. I find the most effective way to get your friends in ROOV and talking with others is to talk to them in person.
We're still working on improvements to that invitation page, but you can look at your Facebook notifications (http://facebook.com/notifications.php) to see that your friends were in fact invited to ROOV.
Thanks for helping to spread the word! I hope my explanation here helps a bit. If you have any other questions please don't hesitate to mention them here or by emailing me at nick@roov.com.

Nick Zadrozny replied on October 14, 2008 22:25 to the question "Facebook button keeps asking to allow" in ROOV:
If folks experiencing this could let us know their browser, browser version, and operating system. For example, "Internet Explorer 7 on Windows XP" or "Safari on Mac OS X".
Optional, but perhaps illuminating, would be your Facebook user ID. When you are looking at your own profile, check your address bar for something like "profile.php?id=3300393" – that number there is the one we are looking for.
Thanks in advance!

Hi there, we've seen this particular problem but only once before and it seemed to resolve itself the next day. So you're not missing anything or doing anything wrong. We're looking into it and will post an update here when we have a solution.
Anyone that is experiencing this issue: please chime in here and let us know. The more information we get the better. Thanks for your patience!
