A comment on the problem "Problems adding Facebook account" in Thing Labs:

Problems adding Facebook accountYesterday, I added my Facebook account to Brizzly and everything worked fine. I even made a post.
Today, I logged into Brizzly and it says "You're almost done setting up your Facebook account."
I click the "Finish Setup" button, and the "Connect with Facebook" window pops up and shows the animated bear for a few seconds, then the "Okay, let's go!" button appears.
I click it, the CwF window closes... and nothing happens.
I try the "Set up your Facebook account" button on the Settings screen. The exact same thing happens.
I've tried refreshing, logging out and back in, and switching between Facebook and Twitter and nothing works.
I went to Facebook proper and checked my app settings to make sure that Brizzly is fully authorized with all the requisite permissions and such. It is.
Can someone help?
For what it's worth, I've had a bit of trouble before with the occasional app improperly handling long (15 digit) Facebook user IDs. But Facebook worked well before...

Some possible fixes for the lag:
1. Turn off Bluetooth.
2. Try switching between Wi-Fi, EDGE (turn 3G off) and 3G.
3. Turn off push notifications.
4. Set all your email accounts to Manual.
5. One of the most underutilized fixes: Close all Safari tabs. Once you've closed all but one, hit the switch-between-tabs button and close that tab, leaving only a blank page.
6. If that doesn't help, forcequit Mail, Safari and iPod. (To forcequit an app, open it, hold down the lock button until you see "slide to power off," then hold down home until it closes.
7. If that doesn't help, power completely down and power back up.
Online lag is also related to ping. Try different Wi-Fi and cellular networks
Barring those, the best choice is the touch 3G (either the 64GB model or the 32GB model that comes with the headphones with mic). After that is the iPhone 3GS, followed by the touch 2G, the iPhone 3G, the touch 1G (the one with no volume buttons) and the original iPhone.

A comment on the question "Custom Songs??" in Tapulous:
Yeah, they had a contest. The community was given a selection of art assets (though they could use whatever) and asked to design a Jennifer's Body-themed theme. (tappers, arrows, background, revenge background, etc)
Everyone who submitted a theme got a copy of that particular song with THEIR custom theme, as kind of a reward.
Then the community was able to look at pics all the themes that had been submitted and vote on which one was the best.
The winning theme was used when the song actually came out as a TTThursday track. The guy who designed it also got a tablet PC, and, IIRC, a job at Tapulous. The runnerup got a 20" computer monitor, the third-place winner got a 500GB external hard drive, and the fourth through eighth place finishers got $25 Threadless gift cards. – Oboewan, on October 11, 2009 23:24

Two-Player Mono SoundBasically, i think there should be an option (enabled by default, but you can disable it) where whenever you play a two-player game, the sound outputs in mono instead of stereo.
That way you can just give one of your earbuds to whomever you are playing against. No speakers, no splitters, and you hear both audio tracks.-

I think that Tapulous should do something similar to what Harmonix is doing: a closed open system. Basically, you talk to Tapulous instead of Tapulous talking to you. Chart the songs, submit to Tapulous, and if they like it, they put it up, people download it, everyone wins.
The PatD contest already showed us how easy it is to make themes: just plug in the assets.

Broken awardsSo far I've found two awards that are currently broken:
- I think there's one in which you have to play "hard or expert" quick games. However, there is no way to choose your difficulty in quick mode.
-There's one where you have to subscribe to the Reporter. I did this back when I got TTR2. Plus, I haven't found the subscribe link in TTR3 yet.
Has anyone found any others?

Where are your battle results? In TTR2 there was a feed item whenever anyone played your challenge or battle. Where is this in TTR3?-

A comment on the idea "Talk to "Weird Al" Yankovic about being in TTR" in Tapulous:
It's surprising how many people don't know this, but Al doesn't do 100% parodies. He does a lot of original stuff too. Just pick up any of his albums (I recommend Running With Scissors).
In fact, he just came out with a new EP, "Internet Leaks," and only one of the songs on it is a parody. The rest are homages and pastiches that are in the style of other artists; for example, "Skipper Dan" is in the style of Weezer, "Ringtone" is a sendup of Queen, "CNR" sounds like something the White Stripes would have done, and "Craigslist" captures the essence of The Doors (though that's mostly because they actually brought in Ray Manzarek to do the keyboard parts :P).
All of those are originals. – Oboewan, on September 07, 2009 23:46

Talk to "Weird Al" Yankovic about being in TTRI heard a few weeks ago in a Ustream/Twitter interview that "Weird Al" Yankovic did that he was interested in possibly being in Guitar Hero, Rock Band, whatever, and that if anyone wanted to talk to him about doing that sort of thing he'd be more than happy.
