In my case, somebody else already has my new skype number. I confirmed it's not crossed wires. I read the number from my skype account page to the person who answered and they said they had the number for a year. Have you seriously been waiting for 21 days for a response.

I reported this as a question by mistake. I just bought a new skype online number. Once may payment was confirmed I called the number and someone else already has the number. I read the number directly off my account page to the person who answered and they confirmed that the number is their number and has been their number for at least a year. I can find no way to get support or my money back. I've seen posts here suggesting that it is somehow my job to contact the number provider which is ridiculous. I paid skype for the number. I either want a number that works or my money back so I can get service that works.

I am starting to think skype is a joke. I just bought on online number. As soon as my payment was confirmed I tried out my brand new number and guess what? someone else already has it.

I can get no support from skype whatsoever. They just took my money and sold me someone else's phone number thank God I only signed up for 3 months and only bought a phone number and not a bridge.

And why should it be my job to find out who my provider is. I paid skype for the number. This is ridiculous.

I just signed up for a skype online number and when I called it, someone else already has it. I've wasted four hours screwing around with skype trying to find any support to fix skype taking my money and giving me a number that already belongs to someone else. I confirmed that it is not a crossed line. Works on Windows 7, fine. Guess it's another reason I wish I never heard of Vista. I'm switching my business to Macs in 2010 when we are scheduled to replace computers.

I don't think it is installing. It downloads, it tells me it has to restart firefox but then I don't think it's actually installed. I hope they get it to work. It sounds cool.

Yes, it failed to happen. I go the tutorial that told me what the problem is, how Ubiquity solves it if one were able to open the dialogue box but nowhere did it say how to open the dialogue box. I thought it was control + space but that doesn't work. I'll try reinstalling.

Ubiquity will fail unless you make it easy to figure out how to use it. I've downloaded and spent 30 minutes trying to find any description of how to get the box to use it
