Slideshow transcript doesn’t include JapaneseMost of the presentation is in Japanese, but none of it is included. I guess this will be the same for other multibyte languages

Slideshow’s multibyte title is displaying incorrectlyThe slideshow’s title in the My Slidespace view is displaying incorrectly:

I also get the same error in Safari, and this one in Firefox (both in about 15 seconds):
"Page load error
Connection Interrupted
The connection to the server was reset while the page was loading.
The network link was interrupted while negotiating a connection. Please try again."
I haven’t got my confirmation email (despite the address being correct), but I can’t change it to another one.
I’m also unable to upload anything;bulk upload stalls at 4%, and individual upload gives a "Safari can’t open the page because the server is not responding” error (after about 45 sec), and a hang on FF. The upload is a 3.7MB pdf.
How about a SlideShare.com fail whale? ;-)-

Hey Ariel,
Pownce not using utf-8 was noted here 10 months ago. Do you have any idea of timeframe? I know i18n can be a major pain, but a web service in 2008 using ISO-8859-1 over UTF-8 is kinda ... unbelievable. o_O
thanks for your time
peace - oli
